Tender mulberry leaves are picked in the morning, ground into fine powder, mixed with rice water, spread on paper, and applied to the affected area.

Eggplants (those split open by cold dew after autumn) are dried in the shade, burned until carbonized but retaining their medicinal properties (Cinnabarization/Charred), ground into powder, mixed with water, and applied externally.

Seven lotus leaf stalks are burned until carbonized, ground into powder, and taken with yellow wine.

Another prescription: Sesame seeds are scorched, pounded into a paste, and mixed with the residue oil from a lamp wick (Oil Foot) for external application.

Another prescription: At the initial stage, the root of Hemerocallis middendorffii (Yuzan Hua) is crushed with wine for oral consumption, and the dregs are applied topically.

Fresh roots of Salix integra (Shui Yang Liu) are crushed and applied to the affected area; they generate heat like fire, and subsequent applications soothe the condition. This is a prescription from Ge Xian (referring to Ge Hong).

Another prescription: "Hundred-tooth frost" (dirt scraped from combs and hair picks) is rubbed by hand into pills the size of Sophora japonica seeds, coated with lead tetroxide (Huang Dan), and five to seven pills are taken with wine per dose. The pills must not dissolve, nor should the patient woman know about this method; it has great miraculous efficacy. Alternatively, use 1.5 qian of hawthorn pits, scorch them, grind into powder, form into pills, and take with aged wine according to the same method for three doses.

Three qian of Bletilla striata powder (Bai Ji) is mixed with authentic lotus root starch and eaten as a snack; consuming three to five liang leads to recovery. Alternatively, Bletilla can be stewed into cakes or added to porridge. Or, drink juice extracted from bamboo leaves, or drink juice from chrysanthemum leaves after frost and consume it cold. (Also treats lung abscess/intestinal abscess).

Inability to raise the right hand above the neck, and sputum resembling fish intestines with an extremely foul odor upon lying on the side indicates [severe breast abscess].

Old loofah is peeled, baked on tiles (first the skin, then the pith), charred to a yellow color while retaining medicinal properties, ground into powder, mixed with yellow wine, and two teaspoons are taken per dose. Or, extract one cup of juice from orange leaves and drink it; vomiting out pus and blood leads to recovery. (Effective even in critical conditions).
