Take 4 liang of Chrysanthemi Flos (Chrysanthemum Flower) and 4 liang of Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Licorice Root), decoct in water until two large bowls remain, and drink. Alternatively, take a large handful of leaves of Chrysanthemi Indici Flos (Yellow Chrysanthemum Leaf; use roots if leaves are unavailable), crush to extract one cup of juice, drink it, and apply the dregs topically. (Even in critical conditions, it can be saved.)
Another method: Crush white Chrysanthemi Flos (White Chrysanthemum) including roots and leaves, extract juice, mix with boiled water, drink, and apply dregs topically. Alternatively, burn fingernails until they retain their properties (carbonized but active), grind into powder, and apply mixed with Sesame Oil (Sesame Oleum). Or, remove shells from fresh Corbicula Fluminea (Clam), crush, and apply topically. (After healing, avoid eating clams.) (Test for Ding [carbuncle]: If chewing soybeans does not taste fishy/foul, it is a Ding.)
Crush Scallion Bulb (Cong Bai) and honey together and apply as a paste.
Another method: Take one seed of Crotonis Fructus (Croton Seed/Ba Dou) and one grain of rice, crush them together, and apply to the Ding. It will immediately draw out the toxin and heal.
For Lip Ding, Ear Ding, Eye Ding, Nose Ding: Burn Litchi Chinensis (Lychee) to ash, grind into powder, mix with Sesame Oil (Sesame Oleum), and apply topically (for Eye Ding and Nose Ding, it can be applied externally).
Crush Almond (Armeniacae Semen Amarum) and mix with milk for topical application.
For Ding caused by accidentally eating meat from an epidemic plague: Crush leaves of Toxicodendron vernicifluum (Varnish Tree/Wu Ye), decoct one to two bowls of juice, and drink. Diarrhea will expel the toxin. If leaves are unavailable, use stems or roots, grind into powder, and ingest.

Split Scallion Bulb (Cong Bai), insert powder of Alum (Bai Fan), tie tightly with thread, boil until soft, remove thread, and apply around the sore, leaving a hole in the center. It will heal.
Crush Luffae Fructus Retusus Folium (Luffa Leaf), Scallion with roots, and Chinese Chive (Jiu Cai) together in a stone mortar. Mix the juice with Yellow Wine and drink. The dregs must be kneaded and applied topically (if the disease is on the left hand, apply to the left axilla; on the right hand, to the right axilla; on the left foot, to the left groin; on the right foot, to the right groin; if in the middle of the body, apply to the heart and umbilicus region). Wrap with cotton. When the threads turn completely white, it indicates healing. If there is tidal fever, use this method as well, but someone must hold the patient to prevent trembling and falling, which would be difficult to rescue.
