上清丸 治咽喉肿痛，痰涎壅盛。
薄荷（一斤） 川芎 防风（各二两） 桔梗（五两） 砂仁（半两） 甘草（四两）
上为细末，炼蜜和丸，如皂角子大，每服一丸，不拘时噙化。
治心脾客热，毒瓦斯攻心，咽喉赤肿疼痛，或成喉痹，或结硬不消，愈而复发，经久不瘥，
或舌本肿胀，满口生疮，饮食难咽，并皆治之。
南硼砂（研） 川芎（各一两） 生地黄 犀角屑 琥珀（研） 玄参 羚羊角 铅白
霜桔梗 升麻 连翘（各半两） 赤茯苓（去皮） 人参 马牙硝 片脑（研，各三钱） 朱
砂（飞） 牛黄（研，各二钱） 麝香（研，一钱）
上为细末，研匀，炼蜜和丸，每两作十丸，金箔五十片为衣，每服一丸，用薄荷汤或新
汲水化下，或细嚼，或噙化，津液咽下，食后临睡皆可服。
治大人小儿咽喉肿痛，舌本强硬，口内生疮，涎潮喘急，胸膈不利，不欲饮食。
牛黄（研，三钱半） 南硼砂 桔梗 生地黄 犀角（取末） 人参 琥珀（研，各半
两） 寒水石（烧去火毒，二两） 铅白霜 片脑 雄黄（各一两） 蛤粉（水飞，四两） 玄
参升麻（各三钱） 朱砂（研，七钱）
上为细末，研匀，炼蜜和丸，如小弹子大，金箔为衣，瓷器内收贮，每服一丸，浓煎薄
荷汤化下，或新汲水化服亦可，食后日进三服，或噙化亦得。
Treats sore throat with pain and swelling, accompanied by excessive accumulation of phlegm and saliva.

Shangqing Wan (Upper Clearing Pill): Treats sore throat with swelling and pain, and excessive accumulation of phlegm and saliva.
Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba, 薄荷) (one jin), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 川芎), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, 防风) (two liang each), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix, 桔梗) (five liang), Sharen (Amomi Fructus Rotundus, 砂仁) (half a liang), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 甘草) (four liang).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of soap beans. Take one pill at a time, holding it in the mouth to dissolve at any time.
Treats guest heat in the Heart and Spleen, where toxic qi attacks the Heart, causing redness, swelling, and pain in the throat, or forming Hou Bi (throat obstruction), or forming hard lumps that do not dissipate. It treats cases where the condition recurs after healing, persists for a long time without recovery,
or involves swelling of the tongue root, sores throughout the mouth, and difficulty swallowing food. All these conditions are treated.
Nan Pengsha (Borax, 南硼砂) (ground), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 川芎) (one liang each), Sheng Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Recens, 生地黄), Xijiao (Rhinocerotis Cornu, 犀角), Hupo (Succinum, 琥珀) (ground), Xuanshen (Scrophulariae Radix, 玄参), Lingyangjiao (Saigae Tataricae Cornu, 羚羊角), Qian Baishuang (Plumbi Subcarbonas, 铅白霜), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix, 桔梗), Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma, 升麻), Lianqiao (Forsythiae Fructus, 连翘) (half a liang each), Chi Fuling (Poria Cocos cum Ligno Rubro, 赤茯苓) (peeled), Renshen (Ginseng Radix, 人参), Yama Xiao (Natrii Sulfas, 马牙硝), Pian Nao (Borneolum Syntheticum, 片脑) (ground, three qian each), Zhusha (Cinnabaris, 朱砂) (water-floated), Niuhuang (Bovis Calculus, 牛黄) (ground, two qian each), Shexiang (Moschus, 麝香) (ground, one qian).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix evenly, and combine with refined honey to form pills. Each liang of powder makes ten pills, coated with fifty sheets of gold foil. Take one pill per dose, dissolved in Bohe Tang (Mint Decoction) or fresh cold water, or chewed finely, or held in the mouth to dissolve. Swallow with saliva. It can be taken after meals or before sleep.
Treats sore throat with swelling and pain in adults and children, stiffness of the tongue root, sores inside the mouth, flooding of saliva with rapid breathing, discomfort in the chest and diaphragm, and loss of appetite.
Niuhuang (Bovis Calculus, 牛黄) (ground, three qian half), Nan Pengsha (Borax, 南硼砂), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix, 桔梗), Sheng Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Recens, 生地黄), Xijiao (Rhinocerotis Cornu, 犀角) (taken as powder), Renshen (Ginseng Radix, 人参), Hupo (Succinum, 琥珀) (ground, half a liang each), Hanshuishi (Aragonitum, 寒水石) (calcined to remove fire toxicity, two liang), Qian Baishuang (Plumbi Subcarbonas, 铅白霜), Pian Nao (Borneolum Syntheticum, 片脑), Xionghuang (Realgar, 雄黄) (one liang each), Ha Fen (Concha Meretricis et Cyclinae Pulvis, 蛤粉) (water-floated, four liang), Xuanshen (Scrophulariae Radix, 玄参), Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma, 升麻) (three qian each), Zhusha (Cinnabaris, 朱砂) (ground, seven qian).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix evenly, and combine with refined honey to form pills the size of small marbles, coated with gold foil. Store in porcelain containers. Take one pill per dose, dissolved in strong Bohe Tang (Mint Decoction), or dissolved in fresh cold water. Take three doses daily after meals, or hold in the mouth to dissolve.
