Treats conditions where both the Kidney and Bladder are deficient, with pathogenic factors clashing and knotting, thereby forming Cold Hernia (Han Shen). The pathogen lingers and does not disperse, causing pain in the umbilical and abdominal regions, enlargement of one side of the scrotum, swelling of the skin and sac, heavy dragging sensation that grows over time, hindering walking, incessant itching, frequent discharge of yellow fluid, which macerates into sores. Or growths of abnormal tissue appear; repeated treatments fail to cure, leading to blockage of the Kidney Meridian, obstruction of Yin and Yang, swelling of the external genitalia, which become cold and hard as stone, gradually enlarging. All these result from frequently taking hot-natured internal medicines or due to binding/tight support, causing such conditions. Using medicine for warm guidance, Yang Qi gradually recedes, Cold Pathogen is dispelled by tonifying deficiency and resolving hernia, warming and nourishing the Kidney Meridian, enabling recovery. For all ailments of Small Intestine Qi and Cold Hernia, whether new or old, three doses will suffice.
First Dose Prescription:
Bo Shang Hui Xiang (Bohai Fennel) (stir-fried with half tael of salt until scorched yellow, weighed together with salt) Chuan Lian Zi (Szechwan Chinaberry Fruit) (processed, pitted) Sha Shen (Glehnia Root) (washed and sliced) Mu Xiang (Aucklandiae Radix) (each one tael)
Grind the above into fine powder. Use thick rice flour paste made by boiling water and rice flour as a binder to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take twenty pills per dose, on an empty stomach, delivered with warm wine or salted water. Administer three times daily.
