It also treats deficiency of Liver Yuan (Liver primal qi).
Herbs: Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix, stems removed), Qianhu (Peucedani Radix), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Baijili (Tribuli Fructus, stir-fried, spines removed), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix, heart removed), Shan [incomplete text], Fengmanjingzi (Viticis Fructus).
The above herbs are coarsely crushed. For each dose, take 3 qian, add 1.5 zhan of water, 3 slices of Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens), and 5 leaves of Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba). Simmer together until reduced to 0.8 zhan. Strain the dregs and take warm after meals.
[Daomi Wan (also known as Da Sheng Wan / Great Sage Pill)] Regulates the Sanjiao (Triple Burner), harmonizes the Zang-Fu organs, moistens the intestines and stomach, and dispels wind pathogens. Treats obstruction caused by the accumulation of cold and heat, depletion of body fluids, leading to constipation or complete bowel obstruction. It is suitable for elderly individuals with weak constitution or those suffering from wind diseases who experience dry and difficult defecation.
Herbs: Zhike (Aurantii Fructus, stir-fried with bran), Bai Binglang (Arecae Semen, roasted, half raw/half roasted), Tusizi (Cuscutae Semen, soaked in wine, separately ground), Shanyao (Dioscoreae Rhizoma), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Shanzhuyu (Corni Fructus, pits removed), Huang [incomplete text] (half steamed/half...).
The above herbs are ground into a fine powder. Mix evenly with the separately ground ingredients. Form pills using refined honey, sized like wutong seeds. Take 15 to 20 pills per dose, swallowed with warm water before bedtime.
[Third Formula] Treats wind-pathogen stagnation causing dysfunction in the Zhongwan (Middle Jiao/Stomach region) and dry, difficult defecation.
Herbs: Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, chopped, half liang), Yuliren (Pruni Semen, skin removed, half liang), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma, one liang), Zhike (Aurantii Fructus, stir-fried with bran, one liang), Maziren (Cannabis Fructus, one fen), Binglang (Arecae Semen, one piece), Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix, one fen), Xuanjinhua (Inulae Flos), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, each one liang), Qingpi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, white pith removed, roasted, one fen), Qianniu [text cuts off] (Pharbitidis Semen).

Herbs: Binglang (Arecae Semen), Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Guixin (Cinnamomi Ramulus, each two liang), Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, wrapped in wet paper and roasted), Yuliren (Pruni Semen, soaked in boiling water, skin removed, roasted).
The above herbs are ground into a fine powder. Form pills using refined honey, sized like wutong seeds. Take 20 pills per dose, swallowed with rice gruel water; tea soup is also acceptable. Another version adds Zhike (Aurantii Fructus, two liang). Named Rusheng Wan. Another variant treats heat-toxic wind-pathogens, taken on an empty stomach with warm wine or ginger soup.
