For mild cases, the eyelids are swollen and painful; for severe cases, the eyeballs protrude. As long as the eye meridians (tissues connecting the eyeball to the brain) are not severed, the eyeballs can be pushed back into the orbits. Immediately crush fresh Rehmanniae Radix (Sheng Di Huang), wrap it in cotton gauze, and apply it to the eye. Continue to protect the surrounding area with wind-avoiding plasters. (From *Shengji Zonglu*)
In Jiujiang, a man beat his wife, causing both her eyeballs to protrude. Soldiers passing by instructed them not to move her improperly. They took a handkerchief, soaked it in water, covered the protruding eyes, rotated them gently to prevent tangling of the eye meridians, and then pushed the eyeballs back into the orbits. The eyes were then wrapped with wet towels, and the patient was instructed not to open them for three days. The woman, being impatient, removed the towel after two days. Her eyes recovered as before, but she experienced pain whenever exposed to wind or cold. This was due to removing the dressing too early. (From *Wu Cheng You Tan*)
For all types of heart pain, regardless of whether they are recent or chronic: Use only one herb, fresh Rehmanniae Radix (Sheng Di Huang). Based on the patient's usual food intake amount, crush and squeeze out the juice. Use this juice to knead flour to make dough-based foods or cold noodles (Leng Tao). After some time, bowel movements will become smooth, and parasites approximately one foot long, along with hair and wall debris, will be expelled, and the pain will cease. Do not add salt when eating the cold noodles. (From Cui Yuanliang's *Haishang Fang*)
For Du Jing Xia Gan (a type of genital ulceration caused by jealousy-related pathogens): For cases where the penis is rotten for one to two inches, effective results can be achieved. Burn Da He Zi (Terminalia Chebula Fruit) to ash, add a small amount of Moschus (She Xiang). First wash the affected area with rice washing water, then apply the powder. Or...
This condition requires urgent prevention of toxic vapors entering the heart and abdomen. Crush Gou Qi Ye (Lycium Leaf) to extract juice and drink it; recovery will occur immediately. (From *Qianjin Fang*)
People in mountainous areas often like to bite lice. If lice enter the abdomen and grow, forming "Lice Syndrome": Take one old comb and one hairpin comb. Break each into two halves. Burn one half of each into powder. Boil the other half of each in five sheng (approx. 5 liters) of water until reduced to one sheng (approx. 1 liter). Drink this decoction; the parasites will be expelled, and the patient will recover. (From Yu Jin Dan)
The lesions vary in height, with nodules piling up and hanging down like blind eyes. They have a bluish tint inside, and each head exposes a tongue-like projection. Toxic pores penetrate inward. This is the condition described. Use skin from living well frogs (Sheng Jing Wa Pi). Burn it until it retains its medicinal properties (Cun Xing), grind into fine powder, and mix with honey water for external application. (From *Zhizhi Fang*)
A person developed a toxic carbuncle on their waist. It was red and swollen but had not broken the skin. The pain was unbearable, forcing him to walk bent over. A practitioner took slices of freshly killed male pig meat, sized to match the wound, and applied them directly to the sore. The area was bound tightly with cloth. By daytime, the illness had largely resolved. The removed pig meat turned black and emitted an unbearable stench; it was discarded on the ground, and even dogs refused to eat it. There remained a small spot, size of a little finger, which was still hard. This was because the liver tissue involved was small and not fully covered by the meat patch. Ultimately, there were no other complications. (From Zhang Zai Wu Tan)
