Xuan Shen (Radix Scrophulariae), Ku Shen (Radix Sophorae Flavescentis) each 4 liang, Huang Bo (Cortex Phellodendri) 3 liang, Jing Jie (Herba Schizonepetae) 2.5 qian, Yu Jin (Rhizoma Curcumae Longae) 2 qian, Fang Ji (Radix Stephaniae Tetrandrae) 3 qian, Chuan Wu (Radix Aconiti Kusnezoffii), Cao Wu (Radix Aconiti Coreani) each 4 qian, Da Huang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei), Sheng Jiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens) each 3 qian, Xiang You (Sesamum Oil) 3 jin.
Soak the aforementioned herbs in oil for three days, then decoct in an iron pot. Add one soft-shelled turtle shell (Bie Jia) to monitor the heat intensity. The process is complete when the turtle shell becomes black and withered. Filter out the dregs, add 1.5 jin of Huang Dan (Lithargyrum) that has been processed by water levigation and dried, and boil using alternating mild and strong fire until a drop forms a bead when tested in water. Then add Ru Xiang (Olibanum) and Mo Yao (Myrrha) each 3 qian, and She Xiang (Moschus) 1 fen, stir evenly, store in porcelain bottles, bury in soil for seven days to remove "fire qi" (toxicity/heat nature), and apply as a plaster.
Specifically treats scalds and burns; applying it stops pain immediately and promotes healing.
Da Mai (Hordei Fructus Germinatus), stir-fry in a clean clay pot until completely black. Remove, spread on paper to dissipate "fire qi," grind into fine powder. For ulcerated lesions, sprinkle dry powder; for broken skin, (use another prescription).
Another prescription:
Take four to five large freshwater mussels, place them in a porcelain basin, wait for the shells to open, insert Bing Pian (Borneolum Syntheticum) and She Xiang (Moschus) totaling 2-3 fen, which will instantly liquefy. Use a chicken feather to dab this liquid around the affected area. Then, burn the mussel shells to ash, grind into powder, add a small amount of Bing Pian and She Xiang, and apply; immediate efficacy is expected.
Another prescription:
Use human feces, bake on tiles until charred black, grind into powder, mix with Sesame Oil for topical application; also effective.
Specifically treats abdominal pain due to Yin syndrome, with immediate effect.
Ming Fan (Alumen), Huo Xiao (Natrii Nitratis Crystal), Hu Jiao (Piperis Longi Fructus) each 1 qian, Zhen Huang Dan (Lithargyrum) 8 fen.
Grind all into fine powder, form pills with aged vinegar. Men hold in the left palm, women in the right palm, bind with cloth to induce sweating for cure.
Another prescription:
Stir-fry Hei Dou (Glycines Sojae Semen Nigrum) until cooked, grind while hot until pasty, pour over with hot Huang Jiu (Yellow Wine), drink in one go; this is a miraculous prescription.
Another prescription:
Have the patient bite their own heel until blood oozes out; the condition will be cured immediately.
Ku Fan (Alumen Ustums), Ben Cao (Ligustici Rhizoma et Radix), Gan Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma) each 5 qian.
Several stalks of Cong Bai (Scallion with roots), crush into paste, apply to the umbilicus, and cauterize with a hot brick.
Do not wash with cold water under any circumstances. If medication is not readily available, first drink one bowl of Tong Bian (Child's Urine) or one bowl of raw Luo Bo Juice (Radish Juice), then apply a mixture of raw Da Huang powder with Sesame Oil or Tung Oil. If the wound is ulcerated exposing muscle, use 2 qian of Bai Cao Shuang (soot from household chimneys collected in rural areas) and 1.5 qian of Qing Fen (Calomel), grind into powder, mix with Sesame Oil for topical application, and internally administer Liang Qing San (Cooling Powder).
