Zhang Zhongjing stated: Yin Chui (Vaginal Flatulence) refers to the leakage of Stomach Qi downwards, causing flatulence from the vagina with audible noise. This condition arises when Gu Qi (Qi derived from food and grain) becomes excessive and is discharged from the area near the urethra. The appropriate treatment is Gao Fa Jian (Pig Fat and Hair Decoction).

This is caused by sexual intercourse after drunkenness and overeating, or by severe anger leading to Qi chaos, resulting in the deviation of the Zang-Fu Qi from normal patterns and the failure of the function to separate clear from turbid. The appropriate treatment is Wu Ling San (Five-Ingredient Poria Pill), or Si Wu Tang (Four-Substance Decoction), added with Hai Jin Sha (Lygodii Spora), Mu Xiang (Aucklandiae Radix), Bing Lang (Arecae Semen), Mu Tong (Akebiae Caulis), Tao Ren (Persicae Semen), and similar herbs.
Zi He De stated: In women, Spleen-Stomach deficiency-cold causes Qi stagnation and impaired circulation, attacking and stabbing the heart and abdomen, with pain radiating to the chest and hypochondrium. It may also be due to blood stasis causing pain, resembling a cucumber, located in the creases at the ends of the transverse bones on both sides of the lower abdomen. Who says women do not suffer from hernia? The appropriate treatments are Pan Cong San (Scallion-Coiling Powder) and Tao Ren Dang Gui Tang (Peach Kernel and Angelica Decoction).
