Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis (Houpo), Radix Bupleuri (Chaihu), Radix Scutellariae (Huangqin) (each 2 qian), Herba Ephedrae (Mahuang) (6 fen), Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae (Chenpi), Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Danggui), Radix Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong), Fructus Platycodi (Jiegeng), Poria (Fuling) (each 1.5 qian), Ramulus Cinnamomi (Guizhi), Rhizoma Atractylodis Lanceae (Cangzhu), Radix Angelicae Dahuricae (Baizhi), Fructus Aurantii (Zhike), Rhizoma Notopterygii (Qianghuo) (each 1 qian), Fructus Tsaoko (Caoguo), Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum (Banxia) (each 2 qian), Radix Glycyrrhizae (Gancao) (9 fen), Radix Paeoniae Alba (Baishao), Radix Rehmanniae Preparata (Shudì) (each 1.5 qian).
Divide the above herbs into two doses. Add fresh ginger and scallion white as a guide herb during decoction. If there is sweating, double the dosage of Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Danggui), Radix Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong), Ramulus Cinnamomi (Guizhi), Radix Paeoniae Alba (Baishao), and Radix Rehmanniae Preparata (Shudì). If there is abdominal distension, double the dosage of Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis (Houpo) and Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae (Chenpi). If there is cold predominance, double the dosage of Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum (Banxia), Rhizoma Atractylodis Lanceae (Cangzhu), Fructus Tsaoko (Caoguo), and Ramulus Cinnamomi (Guizhi). If there is heat predominance, double the dosage of Radix Bupleuri (Chaihu) and Radix Scutellariae (Huangqin). If there is phlegm, double the dosage of Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum (Banxia) and Poria (Fuling). If it is dysentery, double the dosage of Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Danggui), and remove Fructus Aurantii (Zhike) and Radix Glycyrrhizae (Gancao). If there is headache, double the dosage of Radix Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong), Radix Angelicae Dahuricae (Baizhu), and Rhizoma Notopterygii (Qianghuo). If residual blood remains in the abdomen, forming clumps and causing pain, add Rhizoma Sparganii (Sanleng), Rhizoma Curcumae Longae (Ezhu), Radix Corydalis Yanhusuo (Yanhu), and Fructus Anisi Stellati (Da Hui). If there is pain throughout the body, add Radix Angelicae Pubescentis (Duhuo) and double the dosage of Rhizoma Notopterygii (Qianghuo). If edema, shortness of breath, and diarrhea occur, the condition is critical with a high mortality rate. If there is only shortness of breath, add Fructus Aurantii (Zhike), Fructus Aurantii Immaturus (Zhishi), Radix Aucklandiae (Muxiang), and Semen Armeniacae Amarum (Xingren). If there is only diarrhea, remove Fructus Aurantii (Zhike) and add Pericarpium Papaveris (Sugu), Fructus Corni (Hezi), and Semen Myristicae (Doukou). If there is diaphragmatic qi stagnation with shortness of breath, add Semen Armeniacae Amarum (Xingren), Folium Perillae (Suye), and double the dosage of Fructus Platycodi (Jiegeng) and Fructus Aurantii Immaturus (Zhishi). If there is sweating, remove Herba Ephedrae (Mahuang). If there is cough, add Semen Armeniacae Amarum (Xingren). If there is thirst, add Fructus Mume (Wumei) and Rhizoma Zingiberis Preparatum (Ganjiang). If there is distension, add Fructus Amomi Rotundus (Sharen) and Radix Cyperi (Xiangfu).
Postpartum generalized edema accompanied by qi-deficiency tidal fever is caused by spleen and stomach weakness, depletion of qi and blood, and wind pathogen invading the interior. If the pulse is floating and forceful, medication can be effective. If accompanied by diarrhea and shortness of breath with a fine pulse, it is difficult to treat.

Divide into six doses. Add three slices of fresh ginger, decoct in water, and take orally. After finishing this prescription, use Tiaojing Wan (Regulating Menstruation Pill) for further treatment.
