Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae, 5 fen) and Huanglian (Cortex Phellodendri, 2 qian), decocted in water and taken orally.
This syndrome is named Chajing (irregular menstruation). It is caused by excessive consumption of hot-natured foods over a long period. The treatment should focus on clearing heat and detoxifying, and harmonizing Yin and Yang.
Zhuling (Polyporus, 1 qian each), Zexie (Rhizoma Alismatis, 1 qian each), Baizhu (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, 1 qian each), Chishao (Radix Paeoniae Rubra, 1 qian each), Ejiao (Colla Corii Asini), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, 8 fen each), and Chuanxiong (Rhizoma Chuanxiong, 8 fen each), taken on an empty stomach.
This syndrome is caused by Blood deficiency. The cough results from Lung dryness and withering of Metal (Lung). Urgently use Fuling Buxin Tang (Poria Decoction for Nourishing the Heart) to stop the cough, then take Jisu Wan (Elsholtzia Pill) to eliminate the root cause.
Fuling (Poria, 1.5 qian each), Chuanxiong (Rhizoma Chuanxiong, 1.5 qian each), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, 1.5 qian each), Baishao (Radix Paeoniae Alba, 1.5 qian each), Shengdi (Radix Rehmanniae Preparata, 3 qian), Ziye (Perilla Leaf), Renshen (Radix Ginseng), Qianhu (Radix Peucedani), Chenpi (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae), Gange (Radix Bupleuri), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae, 1 qian), Zhishi (Fructus Aurantii Immaturus, 8 fen), and Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, 3 slices), taken on an empty stomach.

Menstruation has been absent for two or three months, and the abdomen is distended like a drum. People suspect pregnancy. One day, sudden profuse bleeding occurs, containing foreign matter resembling tadpole eggs. This condition can be cured; however, those who are weak and emaciated will die.
During menstruation, white worms appear in the blood, shaped like chicken intestines, causing full abdominal pain. First, use Pachong Wan (Expel Worms Pill) to expel the worms through the stool, then use Jianzhong San (Regulate the Middle Powder) to tonify.
Shexiang (Moschus, 5 fen), Xuisuiizi (Semen Euphorbiae Lathyridis), Binglang (Areca Seed), Qianniu (Semen Pharbitidis), Daji (Radix Euphorbiae Pekinensis, 5 fen each), Yuanhua (Flos Genkwa, 1 qian), and Dahuang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, 1 liang), ground into fine powder, formed into pills with wheat paste, taken orally with wine.

During menstruation, alternating chills and fever occur, limbs are cold, profuse sweating happens, roundworms are vomited, and phlegm-Qi stagnation causes chest tightness and fullness. This is a fatal condition with no hope of survival, considered untreatable.
During menstruation, Stomach Qi fails to open, leading to loss of appetite. For this syndrome, opening the Stomach is the priority; taking Duck Blood Wine brings relief.
One white duck, blood collected using a copper knife, taken while hot, mixed with aged cooked wine and consumed.
When a maiden experiences her first menstruation, if she does not know how to care for herself, such as washing clothes in cold water or immersing hands and feet in cold water, the Blood coagulates upon exposure to cold and fails to exit the Sea of Blood. Facial edema often results. Treatment as Edema is usually ineffective. Tongjing Wan (Unblock Menstruation Pill) should be used; once the Blood flows freely, the swelling will subside spontaneously.
