Renshen (Ginseng Radix), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Fuling (Poria), Zhi Gancao (Prepared Licorice Root) (each 3 qian), Huangqi (Astragali Radix) (3 qian), Rougui (Cinnamon Bark) (6 fen), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Chuan Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Baishao (Paeoniae Radix Alba) (each 1 qian), Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) (3 slices), Dazao (Jujubae Fructus) (2 pieces). This is due to obstruction of the blood gate (uterus). Many people use Bazhen San (Eight Treasures Powder) without effect. Urgently use Niuxi Tang (Achyranthes Decoction); one dose will show efficacy.

Tuniuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix) (3 liang), Shexiang (Moschus) (0.5 fen), Ruxiang (Olibanum) (3 qian). Use half a cup of water, decoct Niuxi until one cup remains, then grind the two aromatics (Shexiang and Ruxiang) and add them inside. Take on an empty stomach.

When menstruation is halfway through, thirst and painful urination are felt, along with tidal fever and headache all over the body. This syndrome presents with numbness and paralysis of the hands and feet, caused by deficiency-cold in the abdomen and weakness of qi and blood.
