Childbirth causes labor and injury to Blood and Qi, leading to weakness of the Zang-Fu organs. Wind-Cold pathogenic factors invade due to this deficiency. Cold combats with Blood and Qi, preventing them from warming the skin and muscles, causing deficiency, exhaustion, fatigue, and emaciation that do not recover spontaneously. If recovery is delayed or the condition persists for a long time, Wind-Cold enters the Zi Zang (uterus), causing coldness in the Bao Zang (womb), which can also lead to infertility. This is referred to as "Wind-Deficiency Consumptive Disease."
