Discussion: Postpartum wind-stroke occurs because childbirth damages Qi and Blood, and the Zang-Fu organs are exhausted and have not yet recovered. If the mother rises and works too early, Qi deficiency allows Wind pathogenic factors to invade due to the deficiency, resulting in wind-stroke. Cold and Wind pathogens lodge in the skin and meridians, causing pain, bi-syndrome, emaciation, weakness, and shortness of breath. If tendons and vessels are affected by Cold, spasms and deviation occur; if affected by Dampness, flaccidity and weakness result. If the pathogens enter the Zang-Fu organs, symptoms such as mental confusion, fright, and palpitations arise, manifesting as diseases corresponding to the specific Zang-Fu organs and meridians injured.
