故夜卧多狂语也。
《婴童宝鉴》云∶小儿心中有客热者，即睡中语也。

竹沥，每一岁儿，连夜二合服，令尽之。

《圣惠》治小儿心热多惊，睡中狂语，烦闷。赤茯苓散方

上件药捣，粗罗为散。每服一钱，以水一小盏，入竹叶七片，煎至五分去滓。量儿大小以意加减。

上件药捣，细罗为散。每服以竹沥调下半钱，日三、四服。量儿大小以意加减。

The *Shenghui Fang* discusses: The Heart belongs to Fire. It governs Blood and is the residence of Shen (Spirit). When children accumulate pathogenic heat internally, causing stagnation in the Zang-Fu organs, it leads to disharmony of Qi and Blood, resulting in vexation and confusion of the Heart Spirit; therefore, they often speak deliriously during sleep at night.
The *Yingtong Baojian* states: If there is "guest heat" (external pathogenic heat) in a child's heart, they will talk in their sleep.
Yao Hezhong's prescription: For children speaking deliriously at night.
Zhu Li (Bamboo Sap): Administer two he (a traditional unit of volume) per year of age, continuously until finished.
The *Shenghui Fang* treatment for pediatric cardiac congestion and heat, delirious speech during sleep, and frequent convulsions of the hands and feet: Xijiao San Formula
Xijiao (Rhinoceros Horn, prepared as shavings), Chuan Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix, stems removed, each 3 fen), Fushen (Poria with Hostwood), Chuan Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, slightly stir-fried), Gouteng (Uncariae Ramulus cum Uncis), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix, core removed, baked), Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried until slightly red, cut into pieces, each half liang).
Crush the above herbs, sift coarsely to make a powder. Take one qian per dose, add one small cup of water, decoct until reduced to five or six parts, remove dregs. Adjust the dosage according to the child's size and administer warm.
The *Shenghui Fang* treatment for pediatric heart heat with excessive fright, delirious speech during sleep, and mental distress: Chi Fuling San Formula
Chi Fuling (Red Poria), Longchi (Dragon Teeth), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried until slightly red, cut into pieces), Gouteng (Uncariae Ramulus cum Uncis), Yuanshen (Scrophulariae Radix), Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum, each half liang), Chuan Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma, 3 fen), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix, core removed, baked, 1 liang).
Crush the above herbs, sift coarsely to make a powder. Take one qian per dose, add one small cup of water and seven leaves of Zhuye (Bambusa Leaves), decoct until reduced to five parts, remove dregs. Adjust the dosage according to the child's size.
The *Shenghui Fang* treatment for pediatric heat, delirious speech during sleep, and mental distress with thirst: Huanglian San Formula
Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma,须 removed), Chuan Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Xijiao (Rhinoceros Horn, prepared as shavings), Chuan Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, cut into pieces, slightly stir-fried), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix, core removed, baked), Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried until slightly red, cut into pieces, each half liang), Fushen (Poria with Hostwood, 3 fen).
Crush the above herbs, sift finely to make a powder. Each dose is mixed with Zhu Li (Bamboo Sap) and taken as half a qian, three to four times daily. Adjust the dosage according to the child's size.

Xijiao xie (Rhinoceros Horn shavings), Fushen (Poria with Hostwood), Renshen (Ginseng Radix, rhizome removed), Tianzhu Huang (Calami Rhizoma, ground), Zhusha (Cinnabar, ground), Chuan Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix, core removed, baked), Gegen (Puerariae Radix, cut), Zixin (a type of Scutellaria, cut), Lingyangjiao xie (Saiga Tatarica Cornu, prepared as shavings), Chishaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried until slightly red, cut into pieces, each 1 fen), Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix, stems removed), Longchi (Dragon Teeth, finely ground, each half liang).
Crush the above herbs, sift finely to make a powder, mix with the already ground ingredients until uniform. Each dose is mixed with warm water and taken as half a qian. Adjust the dosage according to the child's size.

Niuhuang (Calculus Bovis, finely ground and washed), Binao (Borneolum Syntheticum, 1 qian), Jinbo (Gold Leaf, 50 pieces, each finely ground), Zhusha (Cinnabar, finely ground and washed), Hanshuishi (Aqua Marina, each half liang), Zhenzhu (Pearl, powdered), Qianshuang (Plumbum Subacetatum, finely ground), Xijiao xie (Rhinoceros Horn shavings), Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, rhizome removed), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, each 1 fen).
Crush the above herbs, sift finely to make a powder, mix with the already ground ingredients until uniform. Each dose is mixed with honey water and taken as half a qian. Adjust the dosage according to the child's size.

Longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum), Niuhuang (Calculus Bovis, both finely ground, each 1 qian), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma, 1 fen), Xijiao xie (Rinoceros Horn shavings), Lingyangjiao xie (Saiga Tatarica Cornu, prepared as shavings), Hupo mo (Amber Powder), Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried until slightly red, cut into pieces), Zhenzhu mo (Pearl Powder), Tiefen (Ferrum Oxydatum Rubrum, finely ground, each half liang).
Crush the above herbs, sift finely to make a powder. Each dose is mixed with honey water and taken as half a qian. Adjust the dosage according to the child's size.

Crush the above herbs, sift to make a powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of mung beans. Take at any time, dissolve five pills in warm water and swallow. Adjust the dosage according to the child's size.
