For oral ulcers that have ulcerated, as well as for pharyngeal lichen (*Hou Xuan*) and pharyngeal abscess (*Hou Yong*), use *Fenghuang Yi* (Phoenix Coat, i.e., the inner membrane of the chicken eggshell). Roast it lightly over fire until yellow. Roast *Ganlan* (Olive) until it retains its medicinal properties. Use *Ercha* (Child's Tea/Betel Nut Extract). These three ingredients are mixed in equal proportions and ground into a fine powder. The standard dosage is one qian of this powder, to which add five li of *Bingpian* (Borneol). For oral canker (*Kou Gan*), apply to the lesion; for throat diseases, insufflate into the throat. This allows the patient to resume eating and drinking.
If oral ulcers persist for a long time without healing, it is due to deficient fire. Take one raw *Fuzi* (Aconite Lateral Root), slice it, roast it, and grind it into powder. Mix with vinegar to form a cake. Apply to the sole of the foot: left foot for males, right foot for females. This guides the fire downward, and the condition will heal spontaneously.
Sores appearing at the corners of an infant's mouth are named *Yankou Chuang* (Swallow-corner Ulcer). Another prescription: collect the condensation dripping from the lid of the steamer when steaming rice, and apply it to the affected area for cure.
If the lips become swollen and black, with unbearable itching and pain, first prick the area with a sharp edge of porcelain to release bad blood. Then, rub pig fat using an ancient copper coin and apply it to the affected area.

Add a small amount of *Ercha* (Child's Tea/Betel Nut Extract), grind together into a fine powder, and insufflate into the affected area for cure.
For oral canker sores and throat pain, take two liang of *Wuzhuyu* (Evodia Fruit), grind into powder, add a small amount of flour, mix with vinegar to form two cakes. Apply to the soles of the feet and secure with cloth. Leave overnight for cure.
