For any hematemesis (vomiting blood), epistaxis (nosebleed), hematemesis caused by bending forward and injuring the lungs, and all kinds of bleeding syndromes above and below, use Baicaoshuang (Soot from Grass-Fired Cauldrons) scraped from the bottom, grind into a fine powder. Take with rice porridge soup; adults take three qian per dose, children take one qian per dose, mixed with rice drink. Three doses will cure it immediately. Baicaoshuang must be obtained from the bottom of cauldrons fired with grass in rural areas; those fired with firewood or charcoal are not suitable.
For severe epistaxis (nosebleed) flowing like a spout, amounting to several sheng in an instant, where no medicine can resolve it, urgently untie the patient's hair and immerse the hair tips in a basin of fresh water for a long time; the bleeding will stop. After stopping, continue taking medicines that cool the blood and clear fire. However, do not immerse the hair for too long; stop as soon as the patient feels a cooling sensation in the heart. If left too long, the cold may enter the heart and cause other complications. This method is extremely miraculous! It can treat older children; infants who are breastfed have no hair to immerse.
Another prescription: To treat persistent epistaxis (nosebleed), use one clove of garlic, peel it, grind into a paste, and form into a cake the size of a coin. If bleeding from the left nostril, apply to the left sole; if from the right nostril, apply to the right sole; if from both, apply to both soles. Bleeding stops immediately, then wash off with warm water.
Another prescription: Burn disordered hair to ash and insufflate into the nose. Tie a thread around the base of the middle finger; tie the left hand if bleeding from the left nostril, the right hand if from the right. Also, burn Gardenia seed to ash, grind into powder, and insufflate into the nasal cavity.
Another prescription: To treat epistaxis (nosebleed), crush fresh Chinese chive to obtain one cup of juice, mix with one cup of urine from a healthy boy, warm and take. The blood disperses and fire descends, stopping bleeding immediately. This is because Chinese chive disperses blood and boy's urine descends fire.
For hematochezia (blood in stool) due to diarrhea, use disordered hair with oil (Luan Youfa), Celosia cristata flower (Jiguanhua), and Biota orientalis leaf (Cebaiye), all burned to ash. Mix equal parts of the three, grind into an extremely fine powder. Take one qian per dose, mixed with water and wine.
Another prescription: Use dried loofah fruit after frost, burn to ash while preserving its nature, grind into a fine powder. Take one qian per dose, mixed with wine on an empty stomach.
For critical and incurable lower bleeding (hematochezia/hematuria), use one dried loofah fruit, burn to ash while preserving its nature, grind into powder for use; burn Sophora japonica flower (Huaihua) to ash while preserving its nature, grind into powder for use.
Take one qian of loofah ash and five fen of Sophora ash, mix evenly, take with rice drink on an empty stomach.
For pediatric urinary strangury with blood (hematuria), use chicken white feces (Jibaishi) that are white like powder, stir-fry until extremely charred, grind into powder. Take five fen per dose, mixed with wine on an empty stomach.
For pediatric hematuria (blood in urine), burn Prunus mume fruit (Wumei) to ash while preserving its nature, grind into a fine powder. Take one qian per dose, taken down with rice drink.
