Diarrhea caused by excessive intake of milk and food presents with sour, purulent stools, belching with a foul odor, abdominal heat, distension, and pain. Accompanied by thirst, anorexia, and scanty, dark, painful urination, Bao'an Wan (Preservation Pill) and Pingwei San (Stomach-Harmonizing Powder) can achieve miraculous results.
[Note] Diarrhea due to injury from milk and food arises because overeating damages the Spleen and Stomach, leading to indigestion of milk and food, thus causing frequent passage of sour, purulent stools. With belching having a foul odor, abdominal heat, distension, and pain, thirst, anorexia, and dark, scanty, painful urination, one must first use Bao'an Wan (Preservation Pill) to resolve stagnation, followed by Pingwei San (Stomach-Harmonizing Powder) to harmonize the Spleen. Thus, the accumulation will be resolved, and diarrhea will cease.
Bao'an Wan (Preservation Pill)
Cyperi Rhizoma (Xiangfu), stir-fried with vinegar; Amomi Fructus Rotundus (Suosharen), each 1 liang; Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Baijiang), processed; Tangerine Peel Immature (Qingpi), stir-fried with vinegar; Tangerine Peel (Chenpi); Sparganii Rhizoma (Sanleng); Curcumae Radix (Ezhu); Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata cum Melle (Zhigancao), each 5 qian.
Grind the above into fine powder, form pills using wheat paste, administer according to the child's age, and dissolve in warm water for ingestion.
Pingwei San (Stomach-Harmonizing Powder) (Formula see "Milk" chapter)
Excessive consumption of raw and cold foods leads to Middle-Cold Diarrhea, characterized by borborygmus, abdominal distension and pain, and clear, thin stool. The patient presents with a pale complexion, cold limbs, and loss of appetite. Lizhong Tang (Regulate the Middle Decoction) and Hezi San (Chebula Powder) are applicable.
[Note] Middle-Cold Diarrhea occurs due to excessive intake of raw and cold foods, causing Cold pathogen coagulation. Symptoms include borborygmus, abdominal distension, intermittent pain, and passage of clear, cold stool. The complexion is pale, limbs are cold, and there is reluctance to eat. For warming the Middle, Lizhong Tang (Regulate the Middle Decoction) is the primary treatment. For stopping diarrhea, Hezi San (Chebula Powder) is used.

Fire Diarrhea is caused by internal heat or summerheat injury. It presents with sudden, urgent downward flow, abdominal pain, irritability, thirst, yellow stool, and red urine. Yulu San (Jade Dew Powder) and Siling Tang (Four-Perilla Decoction) can be effective.
[Note] Fire Diarrhea results from accumulated heat in the Zang-Fu organs or external invasion of Summerheat. Consequently, diarrhea is sudden and urgent with downward pressure, abdominal pain, irritability, thirst, copious yellow watery stool, and red urine. First, use Yulu San (Jade Dew Powder) to clear heat, then use Siling Tang (Four-Perilla Decoction) to promote diuresis and drain dampness, thereby addressing the key aspects of the condition.
