Tianhe Shu (River of Heaven Point). Located in the middle of the arm. Starting from Xiaotianxin (Little Sky Heart, located at Kan Gong) all the way to Quchi (Pool at the Crook, the elbow crease). To clear Tianhe: using three or two fingers of my hand, push from Dahengwen (Great Transverse Crease, wrist crease) towards Quchi to obtain cooling and reduce fever. It also treats Lin syndrome (dysuria), lethargy, and is excellent for all types of Fire syndromes.
Zhongwan (Middle Stomach). Located below the epigastrium, it is the region of the Wei Fu (Stomach Organ). Food stagnation often remains here. To rub Zhongwan: have the infant lie supine. Press with the palm of my hand and rub. Rubbing left and right will digest the stagnation and food fullness.
Yongquan (Springing Fountain). Located in the depression on the sole of the foot where it does not touch the ground. Rubbing the left side stops vomiting; rubbing the right side stops diarrhea. For males, follow this method; for females, reverse it (left stops diarrhea, right stops vomiting). Specifically, use the right foot for males and the left foot for females. This method is also effective for reducing irritability and heat, guiding heat downward.
Yiwofeng (A Nest of Wind). Located slightly below Daling. Pinching this point can stop abdominal pain. It can be used for chronic illness or slow convulsions.
Yangchi (Sun Pool). Located below Yiwofeng. Pinching this point specifically treats headache.
Neiguan (Inner Pass, text says "Neijianshi"). Located about one cun below the main meridian line, on the path of clearing Tianhe. Pinching this point can arrest malaria.
Danzhong (Chest Center). Located in the depression of the sternum in the front of the chest. Fengmen (Wind Gate). Located on the back, opposite Danzhong. To rub these points: use both hands to press the two points on the front and back of the infant simultaneously and rub them together to dispel wind-cold pathogenic heat from the lungs, treating symptoms such as asthma and cough.
Pinch the five knuckles on the back of the palm. This expels wind and resolves phlegm, revives consciousness, and opens blockages.
Xiedai (Shoe Strap Point). Located above the heel. If an infant faints due to fright, heavy manipulation of this point will awaken them; prolonged manipulation ensures recovery.
Tianshu (Heaven Pivot). Located on both sides of Danzhong, below the nipples. Rubbing this point resolves phlegm and stops cough. The method: spread the index finger and middle finger in a figure-eight shape, press, and rub.
Xie (Crab Point). Located at the bend of the dorsum of the foot. If an infant suffers from internal-drawing fright (a type of convulsion with inward flexion of limbs) and arches backward, pinch this point and then rub.
Weizhong (Central Palm). Located in the popliteal fossa (bend of the leg). If the infant's feet do not flex, manipulate heavily. Pinch forward in a web-like manner.
Chengshan (Supporting Mountain). Located in the calf muscle. Also known as Yudao (Fish Belly). Grasp with one hand; manipulating this point makes the infant sleep. It also treats asthma. Pinch and then rub. Use the right side for males and the left for females.
Jiuwei (Nine Tails). Located above the epigastrium, covering the xiphoid process. Qi (Navel) is the umbilicus, also known as Shenque (Spiritual Reservoir). To rub the navel: use the palm of the right hand, starting from Guanyuan (Gate of Origin), stroke upwards to Jiuwei on the right, then rotate downwards to the left, repeating several times. This is because the Tianyi Zhen Shui (True Water of Heavenly One) resides here, employing the principle of "using water to overcome fire." For severe body heat, this method must be used. Three fingers are required to apply sufficient force; using the palm alone lacks strength. "Cold palm, hot fingers" refers to warming the palm by rubbing before rubbing the navel.
