Jingming Boshang Liuhuang (Sulfur, 1 jin, free of sand and gravel, crushed).
Take seven pig stomachs. Harvest fresh mulberry root bark (San Gen Bai Pi, Mori Cortex, 3 jin), cut into inch-long segments. Clean one pig stomach thoroughly, fill it with sulfur, and sew it shut with hemp thread. Add two dou of water and one jin of mulberry root bark, and boil for one shichen (two hours). The remaining stomachs are also kept warm over low heat, ensuring they do not cool down. After one shichen, replace the stomach, add another jin of mulberry root bark, and boil for another shichen. Repeat this process, replacing only the stomach but keeping the mulberry root bark, for three shichen. Continue boiling for a total of seven shichen, replacing the stomach every hour after the third shichen while retaining the same mulberry root bark. Refill with hot water as needed to prevent evaporation loss; do not use cold water. After seven shichen, remove the contents, wash thoroughly with warm water, grind to an extremely fine powder, dry under intense sunlight until very hot, and grind again. Use glutinous rice flour paste as a binder to form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take 10 to 15 pills per dose on an empty stomach with rice drink. Generally, this formula expels entrenched cold from the body, with unparalleled efficacy, suitable for long-term use by the elderly.
