三拗汤（嗽）
紫苏饮子 治肺受风寒，喘热痰嗽。
紫苏叶 桑白皮 青皮 五味子 杏仁 麻黄 甘草（炙） 陈皮（各二分） 人参 半夏（各三分）
上，姜三片，水煎，温服。
小青龙汤（嗽）
麻黄杏子甘草石膏汤 治伤寒发汗后，不可更行桂枝汤，汗出而喘，无大热。下后喘亦治。
麻黄（二两，去节，汤泡去黄汁，焙干秤） 杏仁（二十五个，去皮尖） 石膏（四两，研） 甘草（一两，炙）
上锉散。每服二钱，水小盏，煎六分，去滓温服。
《金匮要略》小青龙加石膏汤 治大人小儿肺胀，咳而上气，烦躁而喘，脉浮者，心下有水。
麻黄（去节，三两，《千金》四两） 芍药 桂枝 细辛（各三两，《千金》各二两） 甘草（炙） 干姜（各三两）
半夏（半升，洗） 五味子（半升，《千金》一升） 石膏（二两，碎）
上九味 咀。以水一斗，先煮麻黄减一升，去上沫，内诸药煮取三升，去滓，
强服一升，羸者减之，日三服，小儿服四合。
〔吉氏〕治小儿伤冷气喘涎多方
栝蒌（一个大者，开一盖子） 阿胶（一分） 沙糖（半两）
上件，将二味投入栝蒌内，以盖子依旧封着，白纸都糊，入饭甑蒸两遍，倾出。
随儿大小约多少，冷服。
真珠散 治小儿气喘多涎。
真珠（末） 生犀角（镑。各半钱） 香附子（四钱） 龙脑（少许）
上为末。每服半铜钱，煎桃仁汤调下，婴儿一字，一岁以下者半钱。
〔茅先生〕小儿诸喘气急方
海螵蛸 黑牵牛（末） 牡蛎 马兜钤（去皮）
上各秤二钱，为末，拌匀。每服抄一钱，用鲫鱼淡煮汤调下。
又方
海螵蛸 牡蛎（火 ）
上等分，为末。每服一钱，用淡生姜汤调下。
San'ao Decoction (for cough)
Zisu Yinzi: Treats lung affected by wind-cold invasion, presenting with wheezing, fever, profuse phlegm, and cough.
Ingredients: Perillae Folium (Zisuye), Morus Albae Cortex (Sangbaipi), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride (Qingpi), Schisandrae Fructus (Wuweizi), Armeniacae Semen Amarum (Xingren), Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Preparata (Zhi Gancao), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi), each 2 fen; Ginseng Radix (Renshen), Pinelliae Rhizoma Preparatum (Banxia), each 3 fen.
Preparation and Administration: The above ingredients are decocted in water with three slices of Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (fresh ginger) and taken warm.
Xiaoqinglong Decoction (for cough)
Mahuang Xingren Gancao Shigao Decoction: Treats cases after sweating therapy for cold damage where Guizhi Tang is contraindicated, characterized by sweating and wheezing without significant internal heat. It is also effective for wheezing following purgative therapy.
Ingredients: Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang) (2 liang, remove nodes, soak in hot water to remove yellow juice, dry and weigh), Armeniacae Semen Amarum (Xingren) (25 seeds, remove skin and tips), Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao) (4 liang, crushed), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Preparata (Zhi Gancao) (1 liang).
Preparation and Administration: The above ingredients are cut into pieces to form a powder. Take 2 qian per dose, decoct in a small cup of water until reduced to 60%, strain, and take warm.
Xiaoqinglong Jia Shigao Decoction from *Jin Gui Yao Lue*: Treats adults and children suffering from lung distension, cough with qi rebellion, irritability, wheezing, floating pulse, and fluid retention below the heart.
Ingredients: Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang) (remove nodes, 3 liang; 4 liang in *Qian Jin Fang*), Paeoniae Radix Alba (Shaoyao), Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guizhi), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin), each 3 liang (each 2 liang in *Qian Jin Fang*), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Preparata (Zhi Gancao), Zingiberis Rhizoma Siccum (Ganjiang), each 3 liang, Pinelliae Rhizoma (Banxia) (half sheng, washed), Schisandrae Fructus (Wuweizi) (half sheng; one sheng in *Qian Jin Fang*), Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao) (2 liang, crushed).
Preparation and Administration: The above nine ingredients are chopped. Decoct in ten dou of water, first boiling Ephedrae Herba until the volume reduces by one sheng, skim off the foam, then add the remaining herbs. Boil until three sheng remain, strain. Strong patients take one sheng per dose, weak patients reduce the dose, taken three times daily. Children take four ge per dose.
[Mr. Ji's] Formula for treating children with cold-induced asthma and excessive salivation
Ingredients: Trichosanthis Fructus (Gualou) (one large fruit, cut a lid), Colla Corii Asini (Ejiao) (1 fen), Saccharum (Shatang) (half liang).
Preparation and Administration: Place the latter two ingredients inside the Trichosanthis Fructus, replace the lid, seal tightly with white paper, and steam twice in a rice steamer. Remove and administer cold according to the child's age and size.
Zhenzhu San: Treats pediatric asthma with excessive salivation.
Ingredients: Margarita (Zhenzhu, powdered), Cornu Bubali (Sheng Xijiao, sliced, half qian each), Cyperi Rhizoma (Xiangfu) (4 qian), Borneolum Syntheticum (Longnao) (a small amount).
Preparation and Administration: Grind into fine powder. Take half a copper coin weight per dose, mixed with Persicae Semen (Tao Ren) decoction. Infants take one zi weight, children under one year old take half qian.
[Mr. Mao's] Formula for various types of pediatric asthma and rapid breathing
Ingredients: Sepiae Endoconcha (Haipiaoxiao), Semen Kochiae Nigrae (Hei Qianniu, powdered), Ostrea Concha (Muli), Aristolochiae Fructus (Madouling, peeled).
Preparation and Administration: Weigh each ingredient at 2 qian, grind into powder, and mix well. Take 1 qian per dose, mixed with light broth of Carassius Auratus (crucian carp).
Another Formula
Ingredients: Sepiae Endoconcha (Haipiaoxiao), Ostrea Concha (Muli, calcined).
Preparation and Administration: Equal parts, ground into powder. Take 1 qian per dose, mixed with light decoction of Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (fresh ginger).
