Zhu Che Zhu Chuan (Prevention of Motion Sickness in Vehicles and Boats): For anyone experiencing mental restlessness, chest tightness, headache, and vomiting after boarding a vehicle or boat, it is advisable to use Xu Changqing (Cynanchum paniculatum), Shi Changsheng (Pilea cantoniensis), Cheqianzi (Plantago seed), and Chexia Ligenpi (Li root bark) (in equal parts). Crush these ingredients, place them in a square cloth bag, and tie the bag to the belt and head. This will prevent such afflictions. (From *Zhouhou Beiji Fang*)
Sai Bi Wan (Nasal Obstruction Pill): For those who vomit upon smelling odors and for whom all medicines are ineffective, take Fulonggan (Furnace Earth) powder, form it into pills with water, and insert them into both nostrils. Vomiting will cease immediately, with miraculous effects. (From *Jingyan Guangji*)
Bi Xiu San (Nasal Snuff Powder): When oral medication is ineffective, use Sulfur and Ruxiang (Frankincense) (in equal parts), grind them into powder, decoct with wine, and urgently have the patient inhale the vapor. Vomiting will stop. (From *Weisheng Yijian Fang*)
Li Xiao Dan (Instantly Effective Pill): Take Xionghuang (Realgar) (2 qian), decoct with wine (1 zhan) until reduced to 70%, and while hot, have the vomiting patient inhale the fumes. Vomiting will cease. (From *Puji Fang*)
Xu Han E Ni (Ehretism due to Deficiency-Cold): Use Ruxiang (Frankincense), Sulfur, and Aiye (Mugwort leaf) (3 qian each). Grind into powder. Decoct with good-quality wine (1 zhong) for a few boils. While hot, have the patient inhale the vapor. Additionally, rubbing crushed ginger residue on the chest is also beneficial. (From *Yizong Shuoyue*)
Jiu Qimen Fa (Moxibustion at Qimen Acupoint): For women bending forward, with nipples pointing downward, the acupoint is located at the arterial pulse between the bones at the end of the breast line. For men and women with smaller breasts, use one finger's width as the standard; the acupoint is the arterial pulse within the depression. Moxibustate the left side for men and the right side for women, applying 21-27 moxa cones (zhuang). If there is no improvement, moxibustate the Dantian acupoint below the navel for 20-30 cones. Occasionally, cures are achieved. (From *Zhengzhi Huibu*)
E Ni Bu Zhi (Incessant Ehretism): Burn Huangla (Yellow beeswax) to produce smoke, and fumigate the area two or three times to stop the ehretism. (From *Yifang Miaoya*)
E Ni Yu Si (Severe Ehretism): One may stop it by inducing sneezing using a paper twist inserted into the nose, or by pretending to be an unjustly accused thief to startle the patient, or by having the patient smell food aromas to regulate qi. All these methods aim to suppress and startle the patient, causing the rebellious qi to descend. This is a crucial method for treating severe ehretism. However, if sweat appears on the forehead and the ehretism continues incessantly, the condition is critical. (From *Gujin Yi Jian*)
Fu Zhong Pi Kuai (Abdominal Mass): Mash Yuzan Ye (Hemerocallis citrina leaf) together with Dudang Suan (single-clove garlic). Mix with Chansanjia (Pangolin scale) powder and good vinegar to form a cake. Apply according to the size of the mass. The duration should be equivalent to the burning time of two incense sticks. The mass will transform into pus and blood and be expelled through the stool. However, application must be adjusted based on the patient's body size and strength. (From *Weisheng Bei Yao*)
Pi Kuai Ying Tong (Hard and Painful Abdominal Mass): Stir-fry Wuzhuyu (Evodia fruit) until hot, wrap in cloth, and apply as a hot compress. (From *Yiliang Li Shi Kan Fang*)
Pi Kuai Ying Tong Ru Dao Ci (Hard, Painful Abdominal Mass Feeling like Knife Stabbing): Take any amount of Shanglu Gen (Phytolacca root), crush it, steam it, wrap it in new cloth, and apply as a hot compress to the painful area. Replace when cold. (From *Sun Taoren Fang*)
Jiu Pi Fa (Moxibustion for Masses): Select a "Po Ri" (inauspicious day). In the early morning, instruct the patient not to eat or drink. Upon entering the threshold, lie down on the ground. Measure from the anus up the back using the length of the patient's hand (from palm to base of fingers) as the standard. Mark this spot with ink. Take seven moxa cones. Have people from seven different surnames knead the moxa until soft. Place them on the ground in front of the patient's head in the shape of the Chinese character "Wang" (King). Moxibustate the acupoint marked on the patient using the tip cone of the "Wang" shape, while burning the other six cones simultaneously on the ground. Recite the spell during moxibustation: "Qian Yuan Heng Li, Zhen Tian Di De Ye" (The creative power brings success, perseverance brings benefit; this is the virtue of Heaven and Earth). After moxibustation, do not allow the patient to consume porridge, chicken meat, etc., until near sunset, to help disperse the pathogen. Avoid raw and cold foods for seven days. On this day, only the threshold needs changing, allowing multiple patients to be treated. Afterward, sweep up the ash from under the patient and the moxa ash, and scatter it at a crossroads without looking back. If encountering people, the spirit resides in the waist; even on an inauspicious day, moxibustation is contraindicated. This method can be used for ages one to sixty. However, if the moxibustation sore does not develop, the case is difficult to treat. This method was taught by the Divine Physician Dai from Liaodong. (From *Luzhutang Fang*)
Zhua Pi Gao (Paste for Grasping Masses): Use Xueyu (Scorched human hair), Xiangyou (Sesame oil), Tongyou (Tung oil), and Sheng Zhu Naozi (Raw pig brain) (each 0.5 jin), Tao Ren (Peach kernel) (4 liang), and Bala (Beeswax) (4 qian). Put them in a pot and simmer with mild to strong heat until the brain is fully melted. Filter out the dregs. Add Huangdan (Lead tetroxide) (14 liang) and simmer into a paste. When warm, add Huhuanglian (Picrorhiza rhizome), Baizhi (Angelica dahurica root), Sumu (Sandalwood), Honghua (Carthamus flower), Sanleng (Sparganium tuber), Ezhu (Curcuma zedoaria rhizome) (each 3 qian), Guiwei (Angelica sinensis tail), Sharen (Amomum fruit) (each 5 qian), and Shexiang (Musk) (1.5 qian). Grind each into fine powder and mix into the paste. Store well-sealed to prevent gas leakage. For existing masses, first wash the affected area with a solution of Xiaoyan (Saltpeter). Then rub with ginger. Apply the paste on silk fabric. Finally, iron the area with a heated shoe sole for 50-70 repetitions until internal heat is felt. The mass will shrink and disappear with miraculous efficacy. (From *Li Cangxi Fang*)
Da Ren Xiao Er Pi Kuai Fang (Formula for Adult and Pediatric Masses): Use Gancao (Licorice root), Gansui (Kansui root), Xiancai (Amaranth vegetable) (each 3 qian), Sharen (Amomum fruit) (1 qian), Mugubeizi (Momordica cochinchinensis seed) (4 seeds, shelled), Die Rou (Softshell turtle meat) (1 liang), and Congtou (Green onion bulb) (7 pieces). Add a little honey. Mash together into a paste and apply using dog skin. If the medicine dries, moisten it with green onion and honey. It will resolve in two applications. (From *Ye Tianshi Fang*)
