Decoct mulberry bark (Morus albae Cortex), rhubarb (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), and mirabilite (Natrii Sulfas) (each a handful) in water. Wash the affected area in a windless place once daily. If parasites are present, add pigeon droppings to the decoction. If ulceration occurs, apply amber powder to the lesion; this prescription is highly effective. (*Guang Li Fang*)
**Elephantiasis / Leprosy (Li Feng):** Black dog spine root (if unavailable, substitute with eucommia bark [Eucommiae Cortex]), realgar (Realgar), cold-water stone (Hanshuishi), dried alum (Alumen), each 2 liang; sophora flower bud (Sophorae Flos), 1 liang; thenardite (Natrii Sulfas), a small amount. Grind all into powder. Mix with lard from the twelfth lunar month or sesame oil and apply topically. Do not use if there is no ulceration; for severe cases, apply over the entire body. (*Fang Chao*)
**Purple and White Wind Disease (Zi Bai Dian Feng):** Purple-dark macules all over the body are named "Purple Macule Wind" (Zi Dian Feng). Pink-red macules with white spots all over the body are named "White Spotted Wind" (Bai Dian Feng). Use roots of wild vegetables mixed with alum (Alumen), Chinese gall (Chinese Gall), and hematite (Haematitum). Crush them with vinegar. First, scrape the affected area with ramie fiber until warm, then rub with the medicine. After three or four applications, the root cause will be eliminated. (*Ling Yuan Fang*)
