Use the rind of a green watermelon, dried in the shade, ground into powder, add a small amount of *Bingpian* (Borneol), and insufflate into the affected area for immediate cure.

Use *Qingyan* (Sal Nitratum) (5 fen), *Pengsha* (Borax) (5 fen), *Zhusha* (Cinnabar) (3 fen), *Bingpian* (Borneol) (5 fen), *Bohe* (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba) (5 fen). Grind all these ingredients together into a powder; applying by rubbing or insufflating is extremely effective.

Grind *Huanglian* (Coptidis Rhizoma), *Ganjiang* (Zingiberis Rhizoma), *Xixin* (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), and *Huangbai* (Phellodendri Cortex) into a fine powder. Sprinkle onto the lesion for an immediate cure.

Combine *Dengcao Hui* (Ash of Juncus Effusus), *Qingdai* (Indigo Naturalis) (3 fen), *Niuhuang* (Calculus Bovis) (5 li), *Bingpian* (Borneol) (3 li), *Baimo* (Cupressi Ligninum) (a little), and *Funren Nitongdi Baigou* (White deposit from women's urinal, calcined and processed with vinegar, 1 qian). Grind all into a fine powder and insufflate.

Burn the old roots of *Huixian* (Amaranthus retroflexus) to ash, grind into powder, add a small amount of *Bingpian* (Borneol), and insufflate for a cure.

Mix equal parts of *Huangbai* (Phellodendri Cortex) and *Shengfan* (Alumen Crudum) into a powder. Insufflate for great effect, regardless of age.

Dig up fresh *Lishu Gen* (Root of Prunus salicina), decoct strongly, and gargle frequently to relieve pain.

Combine *Shigao* (Gypsum Fibrosum), *Qingdai* (Indigo Naturalis), *Zhusha* (Cinnabar), *Pengsha* (Borax) (each 1 qian), *Shandougeng* (Sophorae Tonkinensis Radix), *Renzhongbai* (Human Calculus), *Yuanmingfen* (Natrii Sulfas), *Danfan* (Chalcanthite) (each 5 fen), and *Bingpian* (Borneol) (1 fen). Grind all into a fine powder; insufflate 3 li each time.

Grind *Tiannanxing* (Arisaematis Rhizoma) and *Zaojiao* (Gleditsiae Sinensis Spina) into powder. Mix with vinegar and apply topically for rapid resolution.

Take one *Tianluo* (Snail), place *Bingpian* (Borneol) (2 fen) inside it. The snail meat will liquefy; collect this liquid and apply topically for gradual resolution. Another method: crush scallions and honey together, apply around the area, which is also effective.

Take one *Nanxing* (Arisaema) and one white part of a scallion, crush them together, wrap in silk cloth, and insert into the nostril. If the left side is affected, insert into the right; if the right, insert into the left. Another method: use seven raw *Banxia* (Pinelliae Rhizoma), seven scallion heads, and 5 li of *Ruxiang* (Olibanum). Crush together to form pills, wrap in Wujin paper, and insert into the nostril as described above.

Use *Piaoxiao* (Natrii Sulfas) (5 qian), *Liuhuang* (Sulfur) (5 qian), *awei* (Ferulae Resina) (1.5 qian), and *Shexiang* (Moschus) (3 fen). For external use, crush garlic cloves and mix evenly with the herbs. Apply to the affected area for gradual resolution. Another method: crush *Baijiezi* (Sinapis Semen) (1 liang) and *Zhangnao* (Camphora) (1 liang) together. Form into cakes using strong liquor and apply to the mass; pain or swelling stops within one or two shichen (2-4 hours).
