A patient presented with heat and luster on the head and face. When others approached with their hands, it felt as hot as being roasted by fire. Banxia (Pinellia Rhizome) juice was not used; instead, half a liang of garlic juice mixed with wine was taken orally. After vomiting something resembling a snake, the condition resolved.
Another patient had blisters all over the body, sized like Gantang pears. Upon rupture, fluid drained out, containing a stone fragment the size of a fingernail. The blisters regenerated repeatedly, eventually consuming the muscles. This case was deemed incurable.
A third patient excreted feces through the urethra and urine through the rectum, a condition known as Jiao Chang (Cross-Flow Intestine). Burnt old hair powder, administered with wine in a dose of five fen, resulted in a cure.
A fourth patient suffered from persistent penile erection without detumescence, continuous seminal emission, and pain resembling needle pricks, diagnosed as Shen Lou (Kidney Leakage). A powder made from equal parts of Jiucai Zi (Leek Seed) and Pogu Zhi (Psoralea Fruit), one liang each, was prescribed at three qian per dose.
A fifth patient exhibited swelling of the flesh on the body and face, shaped like snakes. Green moss from wet bricks, one qian, mixed with water and applied topically, caused immediate resolution.
A sixth patient continuously expelled worms from the large intestine; severed worms would regenerate, causing severe discomfort during movement. Powdered Heshi (Nutmeg or specifically *Carpesium* seed depending on context, here likely *Pyrrosiae Folium* or similar antiparasitic, but standardly Heshi refers to *Nux Vomica* or *Carpesium*; given context of intestinal worms, often *Qubei* or *Heshi* implies specific anthelmintics. In Qing texts, Heshi often refers to *Carpesium orbiculatum* or similar. Let's stick to literal transliteration if uncertain, but WHO standard for 鹤虱 is usually *Fructus Carpesii* or *Semen Xanthii*. Given "intestinal worms", *Fructus Carpesii* is common. However, strictly following text: Heshi powder taken with water, five qian, cured the condition.)
An infant was born resembling a fish bubble or crystal. Upon rupture, fluid leaked out. Matusha (Litharge, Lead Monoxide) ground into fine powder was applied topically, resulting in a cure.
Another infant was born without skin, exposing red flesh. Lying in a dug earth pit overnight promoted skin growth. Alternatively, dry Bai Zaomi (Early White Rice Flour) could be dusted onto the body until skin formed.
A patient developed sores on the neck resembling cherries with five colors. Rupture of the sores led to separation of neck skin. Daily consumption of cow's milk led to spontaneous resolution.
A patient experienced splitting of skin and flesh from the neck to the anterior yin and posterior coccyx, resembling a knife cut, with unbearable pain. A Daoist physician identified this as Rou Ren Zheng (Flesh Person Syndrome) and advised drinking cow's milk.
A patient suddenly experienced numbness in the thumb, with thickened skin resembling pot bottom residue. A Daoist physician prescribed decocting Kushen (Sophora Root) in wine for oral administration and applying Kushen powder externally, leading to recovery.
A patient suffered from persistent alternating chills and fever, stiff limbs like stones that rang like bells when struck, and progressive emaciation. Equal parts of Zhuyu (Cornus Fruit) and Muxiang (Aucklandia Root) were decocted and taken; one to two doses resulted in a cure.
A patient experienced prolapse of the rectal tip by more than one cun, which dried and fell off spontaneously, only to recur. This condition is named Jie Chang Bing (Rectal Prolapse Disease). Sitting in a basin containing Sesame Oil for washing, combined with drinking Huomazi (Hemp Seed) juice several times, was the treatment.
A patient had a foul odor from the nose with flowing fluid. Observing the fluid in a bowl revealed iron-colored toad-like creatures the size of rice grains jumping around. Catching them caused them to turn into water. This indicated Rou Huai (Flesh Decay). Consumption of chicken meat...
