Whenever snakes mate, they leave seminal fluid on the grass. If humans come into contact with this contaminated grass, white blisters will appear on their feet, accompanied by unbearable pain. If the toxin reaches the heart, death will occur within three days.
In an emergency, use sulfur (Sulfur) ground into powder, mixed with wine and drunk until intoxicated to ensure safety. Alternatively, use realgar (Realgar) ground into powder for oral administration and topical application.
This condition typically arises in the center of the fingerprints on the ten fingers. One finger becomes necrotic and falls off, transmitting to the next finger; one segment undergoes necrosis and detaches, transmitting to the next segment. If it spreads to the palm of the hand, death is inevitable. This prescription has proven effective repeatedly through trial.
Prescription: Realgar (5 fen), Centipede (dried and ground, 2 fen), Chicken Egg (1 piece, a small hole is made, the yolk removed, and the medicine inserted). Mix well and immerse the affected finger in it. Do not move it lightly.
Treats thirty-six types of Ding sores (hard, painful nodules), as well as Back-eruption (Fa Bei), Brain Carbuncle (Nao Ju), Breast Abscess (Ru Yong), Deep-seated Toxic Sores (Fu Gu Zang Du), and all other headless malignant ulcers. After taking the medicine, the sore develops a head (pus formation) and ceases to be painful; if it was previously painless, pain will ensue (indicating the expulsion of toxins).
Prescription: Dragon's Blood (Xue Jie) (1 qian), Frankincense (Ru Xiang, roasted), Verdigris (Tong Lv) (each 2 qian), Calomel (Qing Fen), Borneol (Pian Nao) (each 5 fen), Alum (Dan Fan) (1 qian), Realgar (3 qian). Cinnabar (Zhu Sha, processed, 2 qian, used as a coating). Grind each ingredient into fine powder. Mash snails thoroughly, add a small amount of rice paste made with wine, and mix with Toad Venom (Chan Su) to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Coat with Cinnabar or Gold Leaf. Take two pills per dose. Drink with decoction of Scallion Stalk (Cong Bai). Cool before consumption for cure.
Treats malignant Ding sores, Ding wandering yellow (Toxin spreading inward causing systemic symptoms), sublingual conditions where yellow discharge occurs upon holding medicine under the tongue, and ear Ding sores. Highly effective.
Prescription: Toad Venom (Chan Su) (1 liang), Realgar (1.5 liang), Frankincense (Ru Xiang) (1 liang). Grind into powder and mix with Scallion Juice to form pills the size of mung beans. Coat with Cinnabar. Take five pills per dose with wine. Pierce the top of the sore with a silver needle to bleed. Dissolve half a pill in saliva and apply to the wound.
Bletilla Rhizome (Bai Ji) ground into powder, placed in a bowl with water. The sediment is applied via paper patch. Whenever using medicinal threads for drainage or point applications, this paste must be applied first to protect healthy new tissue from damage.
Treats various Ding sores.
Prescription: Viola Yedoensis (Zi Hua Di Ding) (1 liang), Chrysanthemum Morifolium (Gan Ju Hua) (1 liang). Decoct in water. Take for five to six doses for complete recovery.
Treats early-stage Ding sores.
Prescription: Luffa Fruit Leaf (Si Gua Ye) (one leaf, mashed to extract juice), Alum (Ming Fan) powder (2 qian), Realgar powder (2 qian). Mix the above ingredients with the Luffa leaf juice. Apply to the Ding sore using a goose feather brush. Keep moistened. It will resolve within one day.
