Treats throat obstruction (hou bi). Jaw stiffness. Also treats trismus caused by wind-stroke.
Wrap the kernel of Croton tiglium (Badou) in paper, grind it inside a brush tube to extract the oil. Remove the bean dregs and use them as fuel to burn. Ignite and then blow out the flame. Collect the smoke and inhale it into the nose or fumigate the inside of the mouth. After a moment, salivary phlegm will flow out, and the throat will immediately open.
Alternatively, induce vomiting.

Treats throat ulceration (hou xuan) and throat obstruction (hou bi).
Tube-shaped fossil bone (Guanguan Shi), Cinnamon Twig Decoction (Puhuang) (each 2 qian), Indigo Naturalis (Qingdai) (3 qian), Camellia catechu (Ercha) (5 qian), Borneol (Bingpian), Musk (Shexiang) (each 1 qian), Bear Gallbladder (Xiongdan) (1 qian), Cow Bezoar (Niuhuang) (1 qian).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder. Blow it into the affected area for immediate cure.

Incubated egg already the size of a small chicken egg. Soak in child's urine for seven days. Grind into ash and blow in for immediate recovery.

For all throat conditions, avoid using Angelica sinensis (Danggui).
Strychnos nux-vomica (Fanmubie) remove hairs and slice. Stir-fry in sesame oil until scorched yellow. Add a handful of white flour. Stir-fry until dry. Remove the flour and grind into powder. Blow in 5-7 li for immediate cure.

Cow Bezoar (Niuhuang), Amber (Hupo), Bear Gallbladder (Xiongdan) (each 1 qian), Musk (Shexiang), Frankincense (Ruxiang) (remove oil), Myrrh (Moyao) (remove oil, each 5 fen), Pearl (Zhenzhu) (2 qian), Borneol (Bingpian) (3 qian).
Grind into an extremely fine powder. Use a copper tube to blow it onto the affected area. The efficacy is miraculous.

Gleditsia sinensis (Zaojiao) ground into powder. Mix with rice vinegar and apply to the outer neck. Change when dry. The tonsillar abscess (ru e) will rupture and heal.
Another prescription:
One stick of Gleditsia sinensis (Zaojiao). Roast with vinegar seven times. Grind into powder and blow in. Expel phlegm and recover.
Another prescription:
Raw alum (Shengfan) at noon on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, placed inside a pig gallbladder. Fill to capacity. Hang in a windy place to dry naturally. The longer, the better. Take a small amount, grind into powder, and blow into the throat.

Akebia quinata (Weilingxian) (5 qian), Rock sugar (Shatang) one spoon.
Decoct in wine and take orally for immediate resolution. Alternatively, grind ivory into thick juice and drink for immediate cure.

Single-clove garlic. For men, insert into the left nostril; for women, into the right nostril. It will come out spontaneously.
Prescription for accidentally swallowing wood splinters: Blocks the throat, death imminent.
Grind an iron axe with water and administer orally for immediate effect.

Eat broad beans with Chinese chives. The needle will pass out through the stool.
Another prescription:
Lodestone (Lingcishi) ground into powder. Form pills with yellow beeswax, sized like mung beans. Swallow 7-8 pills with clear water. It can pierce the needle and expel it from the stool.

Also treats swallowing needles.
Clam (Ge) eyeballs, a pair. Swallow well water. The next day, the needle passes out through the stool. For dates pits at both ends, use one eyeball for each end.
Accidentally swallowing copper, iron, gold, silver that does not dissolve
Decoct Amomum villosum (Sharen) strongly and take orally. The object will pass down spontaneously.
