If the injury is severe, there is no swelling or pain within three days; after three days, the color turns purple, indicating that pus has formed internally. Treat with the original prescription. For injuries on the left, use the formula for the left side; for injuries on the right, use the formula for the right side. For minor injuries, people may not feel them. Although the injury heals spontaneously, stagnant blood ascends to attack the Heart. The main manifestation is that after 160 days, a back carbuncle (a severe suppurative infection of the back) will inevitably develop in the Middle Jiao. The pathogenic toxin first causes prolonged pain before forming a lesion. The color resembles rouge. After the lesion appears, it paradoxically becomes painless. This is all due to the coagulation of stagnant blood internally. The treatment method is to first administer one or two doses of internal injury medicines, focusing on breaking blood stasis, and subsequently treat with anti-swelling and detoxifying drugs. However, even after the toxin subsides, the leg muscles atrophy and disappear, rendering the patient unable to walk, ultimately resulting in permanent disability.
