When taking Atractylodis Rhizoma (Cangzhu, 苍术), do not consume peaches, plums, sparrow meat, Coriandri Fructus (Xiangcai, 胡荽/香菜), garlic, or qingyu fish.
When taking Veratrum nigrum (Lilu, 藜芦), do not consume the meat of a civet cat.
When taking Crotonis Fructus (Badou, 巴豆), do not consume Asparagus Fern Root soup (Lusun geng, 芦笋羹) or wild boar meat.
When taking Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian, 黄连) and Platycodonis Radix (Jiegeng, 桔梗), do not consume pork.
When taking Rehmanniae Radix (Dihuang, 地黄), do not consume Xanthoceras sorbifolium seed (Wuyi, 芜荑).
When taking Pinelliae Rhizoma (Banxia, 半夏) and Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Changpu, 菖蒲), do not consume maltose (Yitang, 饴糖) or mutton.
When taking Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin, 细辛), do not consume raw vegetables.
When taking Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, 甘草), do not consume Chinese cabbage (Songcai, 菘菜) nor Sargassum (Haizao, 海藻).
