Decoction of Guizhi Mahuang Ge Ban Tang:
According to the recently circulated versions of *Shanghan Lun* which include specific dosages, it is appropriate to decoct the two formulas separately for selection. For Guizhi Mahuang Ge Ban Tang, take half of each formula and combine them for administration. For Guizhi Er Mahuang Yi Tang, take two parts of Guizhi Tang and one part of Mahuang Tang, combine them, and administer. This is akin to naval and land forces, each having its own discipline; the two armies act as interior and exterior to each other, embodying the principle of attacking from different directions. Later generations confused their dosage proportions.
