Treating Hong Kong Foot (a condition characterized by swelling, pain, numbness, and weakness in the feet and legs).
Remove Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix), add Hong Qu (Red Yeast Rice), take two qian per dose, administered with warm water; honey pills are also acceptable. Taking it on an empty stomach yields miraculous effects!
Another prescription: Brother Liu's Single Prescription (recorded later).
Cang Er Ye (Folium Xanthii) is steamed nine times and sun-dried nine times, then ground into a fine powder. Mix with wine to form a paste using refined flour, shape into pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take 50-70 pills up to 100 pills per dose.
This can make walking thousands of miles light and agile, which is very wonderful. Transmitted by Xiao Si Zhi.
Fang Feng (Radix Saposhnikoviae), Xi Xin (Herba Asari), Cao Wu Tou (Radix Aconiti Kusnezoffii).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder in equal parts, and sprinkle inside the shoe sole. If wearing straw sandals, slightly moisten the sole with water before sprinkling the medicine.

Treating dry and damp Hong Kong Foot in men and women. Zhao Sheng Zuoyuan Shancan transmitted this from a military officer in Xinzhou.
Xuan Hu Suo (Rhizoma Corydalis), Wei Ling Xian (Radix Clematidis) (remove nodes, each half liang), Po Gu Zhi (Fructus Psoraleae) (one liang, half raw, half stir-fried), Hei Qian Niu (Semen Phytolaccae) (one liang, half raw, half slow-roasted with water until fragrant, remove paper and do not use Ba Dou), Xuan Zhou Mu Gua (Fructus Chaenomelis) (one fruit, cut off the lid, fill with Ai Ye (Folium Artemisiae Argyi), replace the lid, tie tightly with hemp thread).
Grind all into a fine powder. First, grind the Mu Gua and Da Suan (Allium sativum Bulb) into a paste, then mix with the herb powder to form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take 21 pills per dose, swallowed with "Zi Cha" (subtea/seed tea), on an empty stomach. Avoid qi-moving foods and toxic substances.

Grind into a fine powder and mix well. For Kidney Qi deficiency symptoms, mix one large qian with Dou Lin Jiu (Soybean Dripping Wine). Black soybeans can eliminate pain in the waist, feet, tendons, and bones; the effect is like magic. When the medicinal energy reaches the affected area, there will be slight numbness for a moment, and the disease will suddenly heal with the medicinal energy. If the pain is in the bone marrow, administer with Walnut Wine. This medicine treats both Shang Han (Cold Damage) and Zhong Feng (Wind Stroke) at their root. Chen Fengyuan, Prefect of Zhongzhou, recounted that while serving as Prefect of Fangzhou, he ate melons to cool down during summer heat. In autumn, he suddenly suffered pain in his right waist and leg, extending to the knee and shin, making flexion and extension difficult. His right foot was hard to move for a month. All medicines for waist and leg pain were ineffective. His son, Yun'an Penal Judge, seemed to obtain Yang Shen San (Kidney-Nourishing Powder) from Assistant Teacher Shang Xi.
The Alcohol Supervisor, nearly forty years old, with bodily deficiency, could not walk with both legs. He tried this medicine. After the first dose of two qian, his thighs became numb but he could stand. After the second dose of two qian, his big toe and little toe became numb, and he could gradually walk. After the third dose, he ran as before. Tai Shi Ju Shi obtained this prescription. During the Ji Chou year of the Gandao era, while in the prefectural staff office, Song Panyuan Shenyan suffered from chronic weakness in the feet and knees, unable to walk. He received the prescription. Days later, he expressed gratitude. Having suffered for years and taken every medicine without success, upon receiving this prescription, he prepared it immediately. Two doses showed results; five doses led to significant recovery, gaining strength to bow and rise. Days later, he added that after bathing, thin skin peeled off like paste, and his muscles and bones became clear and bright. The effect was like magic!
