Prime Minister Ge stated that Liu Chunong, Magistrate of Shangyuan County, experienced remarkable efficacy with this prescription for treating involuntary seminal emission (Yixie). In the Xinhai year, the formula was transmitted as follows: Yuyuliang (Hematitum), Shizhonghuang (Ochra Flava), Chishizhi (Halloysitum Rubrum), Zhiyuanshi (Quartzum Roseum), Shiyanzi (Spari Lapillus) (each 1 liang, heated red-hot in charcoal fire and quenched three sheng of rice vinegar until exhausted); Longgu (Fossilia Ossis Mastodi) (roasted on tile); Muli (Concha Ostreae) (sealed with salt mud and roasted until white, each 1 liang). These are pulverized together. Add Baifuling (Poria) 4 liang, Renshen (Radix Ginseng) 2 liang, and Qingsalt (Sal Nigrum) 1 liang, all pulverized. Mix with an appropriate amount of unadulterated wine to form a paste, blend with the herbal powders, and make into pills coated with Zhusha (Cinnabar), sized like chicken heads. Take 2-3 pills per dose, administered with wine or light salt water, before meals on an empty stomach and before sleep. For treating seminal emission, Physician Tan from Pingjiang noted that conventional treatments focusing solely on the Heart and Kidney often fail. Referencing *Suwen* and Zhang Zhongjing's works, treatment should target the Spleen. This prescription has proven effective repeatedly.
Houpo (Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis) (peeled, flesh taken, slightly processed with ginger juice, pulverized, 2 liang); Yangjinggu (Os Tibiae Ovis) (calcined in charcoal fire until red-hot, removed and buried to extinguish heat, separately pulverized into powder, 1 liang). These two ingredients are mixed with wheat flour paste to form pills sized like Sophora seeds. Take 100-300 pills per dose, administered with rice soup.
