Treating pain on one side of the lower abdomen. Accompanied by vomiting, rebellious Qi (Qi moving upward against normal flow), and drowsiness (from *Zisheng Jing*). Select Yin Qiao (Yin Heel Vessel) point.
Treating pain in the lower abdomen. Accumulations that are hard as stone. Difficult urination. Spermatorrhea and sterility. Dull complexion. Select Zhongji (CV3).
Treating pain in the lower abdomen. Select Shenshu (BL23), Fuliu (KI7), Zhongfeng (LR4), Chengjin (BL56), Chengshan (BL57), Dadun (LR1), Yinbao (LR9).
Treating hardness and pain in the lower abdomen, radiating downward to the genitalia. Select Shimen (CV5), Shangqiu (SP5).

Treating unbearable pain in the lower abdomen. Needle one point of Ren Mai (Conception Vessel), Guanyuan (CV4). Then needle two points of Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian, Zusanli (ST36).
Treating a mass below the umbilicus resembling an inverted cup (from *Zisheng Jing*). Select Zhongji (CV3).
Treating pain below the umbilicus. Astringent and red urine. Unconscious dribbling of urine. Pain at the urethral orifice feeling like scattered fire. Hematuria. Sudden hernia pain. Blood stasis accumulation below the umbilicus, shaped like an inverted cup. Reversal of bladder function leading to urinary retention. Select Guanyuan (CV4).
Treating pain below the umbilicus. Select Yinjiao (CV7).
Treating periumbilical pain. Select Zhongfeng (LR4), Shuifen (CV9), Shenque (CV8).
Treating pain radiating to the umbilicus. Select Ququan (LR8).
Wang Shi said: In the past, I suffered from pain in the umbilicus which induced loose stools. I often used my middle finger to press the area for slight relief. Or when diarrhea was occurring, pressing it stopped the pain. Later, moxibustion applied to the umbilicus cured the pain completely. Subsequently, I suffered from persistent loose dysentery; moxibustion stopped it.
Treating any case of umbilical pain, apply moxibustion to Shenque (CV8).
Treating wandering Qi causing urgent pain flanking the umbilicus. Select Guanmen (ST22).
Treating rebellious Qi stirring below the umbilicus. Select Xiawan (CV10).
Treating cold Qi rushing upward from below the umbilicus to the heart. Blood coagulating into masses resembling an inverted cup. Red and astringent urine. Select Qihai (CV6).
Treating periumbilical abdominal pain, rushing upward to affect the heart and abdomen. Accompanied by alternating chills and fever, diarrhea, coughing, and rebellious Qi. Select Fujie (SP16).
Treating cutting pain flanking the umbilicus, occasionally rushing upward to the heart. Restlessness and fullness. Vomiting and cholera-like symptoms. Cold Qi causing umbilical pain. Umbilical pain caused by cold contraction in winter. Select Tianshu (ST25).
Treating a sensation of the heart hanging empty, radiating downward to cause umbilical and abdominal pain. Select Wailing (ST27).
Treating abdominal pain flanking the umbilicus. Select Shanglian (ST34).
Treating cutting pain below the umbilicus. Select Siman (SP14).
Treating edema. Accompanied by periumbilical abdominal pain. Select Shuifen (CV9).
Treating twisting pain around the umbilicus. Select Tianshu (ST25), apply 100 Zhu of moxibustion.
Treating colic pain below the umbilicus. Select Guanyuan (CV4), apply 100 Zhu of moxibustion.
Treating hernia wrapping around the umbilicus. Select Shenque (CV8), Shimen (CV5).
Treating hernia pain wrapping around the umbilicus. Select Shenque (CV8), Shimen (CV5), Tianshu (ST25).
Treating accumulated Qi in the umbilicus. Select Ligou (LR5).
Treating activation of the Yuan Zang (Primordial Organ) in men. Unbearable pain below the umbilicus. Needle one point of Ren Mai (Conception Vessel), Qihai (CV6). Then needle two points of Foot-Taiyin Spleen Meridian, Sanyinjiao (SP6), for immediate cure.
