Treats chronic cold-induced hemorrhoids with rectal bleeding, as well as intestinal wind with bloody diarrhea (from *Zisheng Jing*). The acupoint is Jizhong (GV9). Moxibustion: 100 moxa cones.
*Zisheng Jing* states: Someone suffered from this disease for years; a single session of moxibustion cured it completely, hence this method was transmitted. Later, consulting the classics on moxibustion, it was found that this point treats prolapse of the rectum and bloody diarrhea in children.
This likely originated from Qibo’s use of moxibustion for pediatric conditions. Later generations applied it to treat intestinal wind with bloody diarrhea in adults. The pathology in adults and children is fundamentally similar.
To treat intestinal wind with rectal bleeding, select the acupoint Changqiang (GV1).
Wang Shi stated: Medications for intestinal wind are often ineffective. Why? *Bencao Yan Yi* states: Intestinal wind is essentially an internal hemorrhoid. If one recognizes it as a hemorrhoid and treats it accordingly, there will be no failure.
For moxibustion treatment of intestinal wind, Changqiang (GV1) is crucial. Xue Yun recorded: Recently, Li Cang suffered from intestinal wind. A city physician measured from the umbilicus using a staff, and applied moxibustion at the spinal level corresponding to the umbilicus, resulting in a cure. Therefore, when I apply moxibustion for intestinal wind, it consistently cures the root cause (from *Lu Shi Fang*, treating rectal bleeding to eliminate the root).
To cure intestinal wind with bloody diarrhea immediately (the patient must invert their body position to access the point). Select the acupoint Ji Duan Qiong Gu (the tip of the coccyx), specifically the center of the turtle tail area (Changqiang/GV1), moxibustion: 3 cones.
