Master Wang stated: My mother suffered from chronic nasal dryness with a sensation of cold air. I consulted physicians who were unaware of the cause, stating only that she would recover when the disease passed. However, even after the apparent illness subsided, she did not improve. Later, she gradually recovered after moxibustion on Jiegu (GB39). I also once suffered from this condition; noticing slight pain in my Jiegu point, I applied moxibustion, and my nasal dryness disappeared. Initially, I did not realize it was due to moxibustion on Jiegu. Upon reading *Qianjin Fang* (*Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold*), I found this syndrome recorded and realized that the resolution of nasal dryness was indeed due to moxibustion on Jiegu. For cases with excessive rhinorrhea, it is advisable to moxibust Xinhui (GV22, Fontanel Meeting) and Qingding (GV21, Clear Top). The pathology in adults and children is initially indistinguishable.
