Ge Qi (Diaphragmatic Qi stagnation) and Ye Sai (Choking sensation in the throat) originate from excessive worry and overthinking, leading to Qi knotting and obstruction. Due to the deficiency of the Lung and Stomach, Qi remains stagnant in the Huangmo (the area between the heart and diaphragm), resulting in accumulation and stagnation in the chest and diaphragm. Consequently, the ascending and descending functions of Qi are blocked, causing a sensation of fullness and obstruction.
