The Chi pulse is weak. There is cold in the Lower Jiao (Lower Burner). Yang Qi is absent. If the Chi pulse is firm and small, there is cold in the lower legs and thighs, flaccidity syndrome, and bi-syndrome (obstruction syndrome). If the Chi pulse is fine, there is loose stool and cold dysentery in the lower body. If the Chi pulse is fine and harmonious and slippery... If the Chi pulse is rapid... meridians... defecation... urination...
The Liver and Heart emerge from the Left; the Spleen and Lung emerge from the Right; the Kidney and Mingmen (Gate of Vitality) both emerge from the Chi position. Hun (Ethereal Soul), Po (Corporeal Soul), Gu Shen (Grain Spirit) are all seen at the Cun Kou (Radial Artery Pulse Position). The Left governs the Zang organs (Hollow Organs in some contexts, but here likely referring to Yin/Zang); the Right governs the Fu organs (Solid Organs). Subsequent disease treatment... has three aspects regarding movement... Cun reference serves as the standard balance... circulation is also like this... if divine...
Floating (Fu), Knifelike (Kou), Slippery (Hua), Full/Excess (Shi), Wiry (Xian), Tight (Jin), Surging (Hong) constitute the Seven Exterior Pulses. Slow (Chi), Languid (Huan), Rough (Se), Faint (Wei), Deep (Chen), Hidden (Fu), Soft (Ru), Weak (Ruo) constitute the Eight Interior Pulses.
Floating indicates Wind-Stroke. At the Left Hand Cun Kou, a Floating pulse indicates Wind-Stroke with fever and headache. At the Guan position, a Floating pulse indicates abdominal distension and Stomach deficiency. At the Chi position, a Floating pulse indicates difficulty in defecation.
