Regarding Huoluan (acute gastrointestinal disorder) accompanied by coma-like obstruction and diarrhea, this condition arises from the long-term deficiency of the Spleen and Kidney, resulting in insufficient Yang Qi. Due to the invasion of Wind-Cold pathogenic factors into the Sanjiao (Triple Burner), the pathogen transmits to the Stomach Fu-organ, leading to the failure of water and grain to be properly transformed and transported.
Helile Wan (Persimmon Seed Pill) (from *Shengji Zonglu*), treats Huoluan and diarrhea with unawareness caused by Cold-Qi in the Spleen and Stomach.
Ingredients include: Helile Pi (Pericarpium Diospyros Kaki), Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis, remove stamens), Zhongru Fen (Calcitrum), Wubeizi (Galla Chinensis), Bai Fan (Alumen, calcined until juice appears, each 1 liang), Suosha (Fructus Amomi, remove husk), Nongpu (Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis, remove rough bark), Jiaojiao (Fructus Zanthoxyli, half liang), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae, honey-fried), Roudoukou (Semen Myristicae, remove shell, processed, five seeds).
Process the above herbs into pills the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take thirty pills per dose, administered with a decoction of dates.
Wuzhuyu Bing (Evodia Cake) (from *Shengji Zonglu*), treats Huoluan with coma-like obstruction and diarrhea.
Ingredients include: Wuzhuyu (Fructus Evodiae, soaked in water, baked and stir-fried), Nongpu (Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis, remove rough bark, processed with ginger juice), Chenjupi (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, soaked in water, remove white pith, baked, sliced, and stir-fried), Renshen (Radix Ginseng, 1 liang), Gaoliangjiang (Rhizoma Alpiniae Officinarum).
Grind the eight ingredients into fine powder. First, boil [missing ingredient, typically ox bile]... until reduced to seventy percent, then take warm.
Huanglian Tang (Coptis Decoction) (from *Shengji Zonglu*), treats Huoluan, coma-like obstruction, and dysentery, or post-illness uncontrolled diarrhea of yellow and white substances, with empty pain in the abdomen.
Ingredients include: Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis, remove stamens, 4 liang), Huangbai (Cortex Phellodendri, remove rough bark), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, slice and bake), Nongpu (Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis, remove rough bark, process with ginger juice), Ganjiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens, processed, each 3 liang), Dihuang [missing specification]...
Decoct until one zhan remains, strain the dregs, and take warm.
Fuling Anxin Tang (Poria Calming Heart Decoction) (from *Shengji Zonglu*), treats Huoluan with deficiency-cold, where the spirit does not reside within, unceasing dysentery, and inability to speak.
Ingredients include: Bailingfu (Poria, remove black skin), Renshen (Radix Ginseng), Ganjiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens, processed), Gui (Ramulus Cinnamomi, remove rough bark), Yuanzhi (Radix Polygalae, remove heart, each 1.5 liang), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae, honey-fried, 1 liang).
