Xing Ren (ground 1 liang), Liu Huang (Sulfur, ground 1 fen), Mi Tuo Seng (Litharge, ground half liang), Pi Sha (Arsenic Trioxide?, ground 1 qian), Bai E Zhi (White Goose Fat) (2 liang). Except for Goose Fat, grind together into powder again, mix with Goose Fat oil, grind until uniform, pour into porcelain box, incubate in ash fire, stir to adjust consistency, form ointment.
Formula for Sudden Onset of Facial Acne:
Tu Gua Gen, Shui Yin, Hu Fen, Qing Yang Zhi (Blue Goat Fat) (equal parts). Grind into powder, mix and apply to facial acne. Wash with vinegar water in the morning; excellent.
Bai Fu Zi San (Typhonium Powder): Treats facial acne itching and swelling.
Bai Fu Zi, Qing Mu Xiang (Aquilaria Wood), You Ba (Veratrum?) (each 2 liang), She Xiang (3 fen). Grind into powder, mix with water and apply to face. Another formula uses 2 liang of Xi Xin, which is better.
Bai Gao (White Ointment): Treats facial dreg acne, scabies, carbuncles, and malignant sores.
Fu Zi (15 pieces), Shu Jiao (Sichuan Pepper) (1 sheng), Ye Ge (Kadsura Vine? Or Aconite variety) (1 chi 5 cun). Sieve evenly, soak in vinegar overnight. Fry in 1 jin of Pig Fat until Fu Zi turns yellow, remove dregs. Apply three times daily.
Formula for Treating Facial Acne and Black Spots:
Chun Jiu (Pure Wine) (3 sheng), Niu Dan (Cow Gallbladder), Yang Dan (Sheep Gallbladder) (one each). Boil together for three to five boils, apply.
Formula for Treating Facial Dreg Acne and Darkening:
Ji Li Zi (Tribulus Fruit), Zhi Zi Ren (each 1 jin). Grind and mix into mud, blend with vinegar water to form mud. Apply to face before sleep, wash before sunrise; cured.
Xiong Huang San (Realgar Powder): Formula for Treating Fine Acne Sores on Face:
Xiong Huang, Qiao Fen, Shui Yin (equal parts). Mix with December Pig Fat and apply to acne. Stop when cured.
Formula for Treating Acne Sores in Youths with Vigorous Qi:
Qi Nie, Rou Gui (Cinnamon Bark) (each 2 liang). Grind into powder, take one cun bi with vinegar water once a day. Also treats acne, removes scars, and eliminates black moles.

Use 1 jin of Mu Lan Pi, soak in three-year-old vinegar for 100 days, dry, grind into powder. Take with warm wine, three times a day (morning, noon, evening). Alternatively, take with vinegar water. Also, as powder applied topically, it treats scar removal.
