The Kidney Qi is weak. Wind, cold, and dampness pathogens adhere to the waist region, causing lower back pain. The waist is the mansion of the Kidneys. When wind-dampness stagnates in the Kidney Meridian and cannot be dispersed, it adheres to the waist and legs, causing pain upon rising, sitting, walking, or standing. In severe cases, edema may occur; this is known as Wind-Damp Lower Back Pain.
