If a person is bitten by a horse or kicked/stomped on, causing muscle injury, swelling, and pain, it must be treated immediately. If not treated promptly, the toxic qi will deepen day by day, transmitting into the zang-fu organs, potentially leading to death. Urgent treatment is required.
When donkeys and horses are in certain states (such as estrus or frenzy), their toxicity can kill humans.
Initially, if drinking water leads to immediate vomiting, it indicates that the toxin has lingered for a long time.
If not treated, the patient's condition becomes critical, with generalized swelling and toxicity, pus discharge, and rotting flesh; many die. The *Yingyan Fang* records: "In my youth, during the Da'an era, first year, in Luonan County, I encountered similar cases."
