Discourse states: Yellow sweat (Huanghan) is characterized by sweat resembling the juice of a cypress tree, staining clothes yellow, hence the name. It arises from dampness in the Spleen and Stomach, with stagnant heat lurking and lingering, steaming and affecting the muscles and flesh.
Formulas:
Huangqi Tang (Astragalus Decoction) [from *Shenghui Fang*] treats yellow sweat, with bodily swelling, fever but no thirst, presenting similarly to Fengshui (Wind-Water edema), with sweat staining clothes.
Ingredients: Huangqi (Radix Astragali, remove rhizome, honey-fried), Chishao Yao (Radix Paeoniae Rubra), Yinchen Hao (Herba Artemisiae Scopariae) (each 2 liang), Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum, 4 liang), Danshi (Fermented Soybean, 1 liang), Maimendong (Radix Ophiopogonis, remove heart, 1 liang).
Administration: The herbs are crushed, decocted in water, strained, and taken warm.
Wulan Tang (Isatis Decoction) [from *Shengji Fang*] treats yellow sweat, with yellowing of the body, sweating without thirst, presenting similarly to Fengshui, with sweat staining clothes yellow.
Ingredients: Wulan (Indigo Naturalis/Folium Isatidis), Shaoyao (Radix Paeoniae), Maimendong (Radix Ophiopogonis, remove heart), Sangbaipipi (Cortex Morii Radicis, crushed), Fangji (Radix Stephaniae Tetrandrae), Baixianpi (Cortex Dictamni), Shanzhizi (Fructus Gardeniae) (each 1.5 liang).
Administration: Crush the herbs to the size of hemp seeds or beans, decoct in water, strain, and take warm.
Yinchen Hao Tang (Artemisia Scoparia Decoction) [from *Shenghui Fang*] treats yellow sweat, with persistent bodily heat and difficulty in urination and defecation.

Administration: Decoct in water, strain, and take warm.
Guizhi Jia Huangqi Tang (Cinnamon Twig Decoction plus Astragalus) treats spontaneous sweating of yellow sweat, fever, bodily swelling, and difficulty in urination.
Ingredients: Baishaoyao (Radix Paeoniae Alba, 1.5 liang), Lagulai (Cortex Cinnamomi, 1 liang), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae, fried, 1 liang), Huangqin (Radix Scutellariae, 0.5 liang), Huangqi (Radix Astragali, fried, 2 liang).

Guizhi Jia Huangqi Tang (plus Astragalus) [from *Qianjin Fang*] treats the disease of yellow sweat, where the calves feel cold spontaneously. If the body turns yellow, this belongs to the category of Lijie (Joint Bi). Sweating occurs after eating; if the body is constantly itchy, malignant sores will likely develop.
Symptoms described: Sweating, lack of sweat in the lower limbs, sensation of looseness and widening in the waist.
