The branch meridian of Hand-Yangming enters the teeth. Wind-pathogen lodges in the meridians, flows and stagnates at the tooth roots, causing swelling, suppuration, and discharge of pus. The condition recurs after healing, which is termed Chi Lou Gan (Tooth Fistula and Ulceration).
