One prescription: For treating blood flooding (hemorrhage) caused by wind-heat, use Jingjie Sui (Schizonepetae Spica) scorched to black over a lamp flame, ground into powder. Take one or two qian per dose, mixed with Tongbian (urine of a healthy young boy).
Another prescription: For treating blood flooding, use Chen Huaihua (Sophorae Flos) one liang, Baicaoshuang (soot from burning various herbs) half a liang, ground into powder. Take one or two qian per dose, taken with wine in which a red-hot steelyard weight has been quenched.

Chen Linchuan stated in *Liangfang*: When a woman suffers from blood flooding accompanied by severe heart pain, it is named "Killing Blood Heart Pain" (Shaxue Xintong), caused by deficiency of heart and spleen blood. If excessive blood loss occurs during a miscarriage leading to severe heart pain, the condition is similar. Use Ooctopus Sepiae (Cuttlefish Bone) stir-fried into powder, taken with vinegar water; Shixue San (Blood-Loss Powder) is also effective.
Xue Lizhai said: For the aforementioned conditions, if yin-blood is depleted and scattered, use Ouqi Wan (Sepiae Pill) to astringe and consolidate; if stasis-blood does not dissipate, use Shixiao San (Pain-Stopping Powder) to move and disperse; if heart blood is weak and deficient, use Xionggui Tang (Ligusticum and Angelica Decoction) to tonify and nourish; if emotional constraint damages blood, use Guipi Tang (Restore the Spleen Decoction) to regulate and tonify.
Attached Note: A woman suffered from blood flooding combined with heart pain for three years, and various medicines were ineffective. Whenever the pain was severe, all signs of deficiency were present, and her complexion was sallow and withered. I said: The heart governs blood. This is because excessive blood loss has left the heart without nourishment, resulting in pain. It is appropriate to use Shiquan Dabu Tang (Complete Great Tonifying Decoction), doubling the dosage of Renshen (Ginseng Radix) and Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma). After more than thirty doses, symptoms slightly improved; after more than one hundred doses, she was completely cured.
I believe that "Killing Blood Heart Pain," since it arises from excessive blood loss causing severe heart pain, clearly belongs to the category of the heart lacking nourishment. One should exclusively use sweet-warm substances to nourish Ying-qi (Nutritive Qi), such as Shiquan Dabu Tang (Complete Great Tonifying Decoction), Daying Jian (Great Camp Decoction), Xiaoying Jian (Small Camp Decoction), and Wufu Yin (Five Blessings Drink), which are suitable. As for Shixiao San (Pain-Stopping Powder), it is only applicable when there is qi stagnation and blood rebellion, used to move and disperse; it must not be used to treat blood deficiency. Furthermore, Ouqi Wan (Sepiae Pill) is used in *Neijing · Fuzhong Lun* (Abdominal Discussions) to treat Xueku (Blood Dryness); it may not necessarily be effective for heart pain caused by blood deficiency. Users should exercise caution.
