Wuzi Wan (Five-Seed Pill): Treats frequent urination and occasional white turbidity (cloudy urine or discharge).
Cuscutae Semen (Tusizi, 菟丝子) (steamed with wine), Allii Tuberosi Semen (Jiuzi, 家韭子) (stir-fried), Alpiniae Oxyphyllae Fructus (Yizhi, 益智), Foeniculi Fructus (Huixiang, 茴香) (stir-fried), Cnidii Fructus (Shechuangzi, 蛇床子) (skin removed, stir-fried).
Grind each ingredient in equal proportions into powder. Use wine and paste to form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take 70 pills per dose, administered with rice water or salted broth as desired.
Yuanzhi Wan (Polygala Pill): The formula is recorded in the "Tonifying Section" (Bu Zhen). Treats mental restlessness and vagueness, nocturnal emission, and spermatorrhea.
Zhu Ling Wan from *Ben Shi Fang* (Capable Prescriptions): This formula achieves cessation of diarrhea through promoting diuresis and leaching out dampness. It treats frequent urination, nocturnal emission, and seminal emission caused by dampness stagnation and heat obstruction.
Pinelliae Rhizoma (Banxia, 半夏) (1 liang): Break Pinellia rhizome into pieces the size of bean grains. Take 2 liang of Polypori Porria (Zhuling, 猪苓) powder. First, stir-fry 1 liang of the prepared Pinellia until yellow, ensuring it does not burn, to eliminate its acrid toxicity. Grind the Pinellia into powder and form pills the size of paulownia seeds using a paste binder; let them dry. Then, take half of the remaining Polyporus powder and stir-fry it together with the dried pills until slightly cracked. Store in a porcelain jar. Take 30–40 pills on an empty stomach with warm wine or salted broth. For regular use, administer with warm wine between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM (Wei-Shen hours).
Empirical Formula for Diarrhea: Treats diarrhea accompanied by poor appetite and reduced food intake.
