Brightens the eyes and benefits Qi, raises Yin, eliminates downward flow of evil blood, wards off gu poison, malevolent ghosts, and inauspicious influences, prevents nightmares and ensures peaceful sleep, dispels pathogenic factors, treats nightmare-induced insomnia, mania, and aberrant behavior. Treats cold-heat alternating symptoms in Shanghan (Cold Damage) and Shiqi (Epidemic Febrile Disease) where heat resides in the skin and muscles; treats damp-wind toxin lurking between bones; and treats dysphagia due to food obstruction. Long-term consumption strengthens sinews and bones, lightens the body, raises Yin, and benefits Qi. Treats tendon spasms and deep bone pain caused by Wind-Stroke. Grind the horn into powder and mix with honey for oral administration to treat sudden heat stroke, heat-toxic dysentery with bloody stool, and hernia. Apply water-mixed paste topically to treat swelling and toxins. Treats all conditions caused by heat-toxic wind attacking and flowing through the body, sudden death from malignant wind poisoning, confusion, and inability to recognize people. Disperses postpartum evil blood rushing to the heart causing irritability and chest stuffiness; burn to ash and administer with wine. Treats infantile convulsions and epilepsy. Treats mountain miasma and dysphagia. Treats palpitations, irritability, chest discomfort, and malignant qi in the chest and heart. Treats scrofula, malignant sores, and stream toxins. Sheep are Fire animals, but Antelopes belong to Wood; therefore, their horns enter the Jueyin Liver Meridian rapidly, following the principle of similar energies attracting each other. The Liver governs Wood and opens into the eyes; when diseased, vision becomes dim and obscured, which Antelope Horn can calm. The Liver governs Wind and harmonizes with sinews; when diseased, it causes infantile convulsions, maternal eclampsia, adult Wind-Stroke, twitching, tendon spasms, and joint pulling pain, which Antelope Horn can relieve. The Hun (Ethereal Soul) is the spirit of the Liver; when diseased, it causes fright, restlessness, mania, aberration, and sudden nightmares, which Antelope Horn can soothe. Blood is stored by the Liver; when diseased, it causes stasis and downward flow, hernia pain, toxic dysentery, swelling, and postpartum blood-Qi disorders, which Antelope Horn can disperse. Ministerial Fire resides in the Liver and Gallbladder, manifesting emotionally as anger; when diseased, it causes irritability, rebellious Qi, dysphagia, cold-heat sensations, and latent heat in Shanghan, which Antelope Horn can descend. The Antelope is spiritual, and the essence of sinews and bones concentrates in its horn; thus, it can also ward off evil and resolve various toxins. The *Shennong Bencao Jing* and *Bencao Mingyi Lu* record its efficacy extensively, yet modern commoners rarely appreciate or promote it. What a pity.)
