[Name] Li Shizhen stated: "Baitiangong" refers to worn-out hats. The Emperor Wu of Northern Zhou first used lacquered gauze to make them, and by the Tang Dynasty, there was a system for gauze caps, which has been used ever since.
[Indications] Burning the hat to produce smoke and fumigating it can treat postpartum blood dizziness (Xueyun). Ingesting the ash with water treats metrorrhagia (blood flooding) and Jiaochang disease in women (Li Shizhen).
[Elucidation] Li Shizhen stated: According to "Chen Zongling's Formulas," the Hupo San (Amber Powder) used to treat sudden severe bleeding contains ash from lacquered gauze caps, claiming to utilize the principle of ascending yang qi. Additionally, Xia Zi Yi's "Qiji Fang" states that due to childbirth, the yin and yang positions are reversed, causing feces to be expelled from the anterior yin; this is named Jiaochang disease. Old head cloths should be burned to ash and taken with wine. Meanwhile, Wuling San should be taken intermittently to separate and drain fluids. If old head cloths are unavailable, any old lacquered gauze cap can serve as a substitute. This all relies on the meaning that lacquer can promote the circulation of stagnant blood.
[Indications] Treats hematochezia (blood in stool) and severe leprosy-like sores caused by wind toxin. Burned to ash for medicinal use (Li Shizhen).
[Attached Formula] New Formula 1.

[Name] Li Shizhen stated: It refers to foot-wrapping cloth. As Li Si wrote in his letter, "Scholars from across the world wrap their feet and do not enter Qin." This is what he meant. Its ancient name was Xingteng.
[Properties and Flavor] Non-toxic. It treats relapse after labor following epidemic febrile diseases, and cases of Ma Jun Feng characterized by black sweating. The juice from washing the cloth should be ingested. Those with more dirt/grime are better (Zang Qi). For women wishing to return...
[Name] Li (bamboo hat).
Tao Hongjing stated: These are worn-out bamboo hats previously worn by people. Take bamboo and burn it to ash for use.
Li Shizhen stated: A Li is a rain protection tool used by commoners. It uses bamboo as a frame, sandwiched with reed leaves. "Qiong Tian Lun" states: The shape of heaven is like a Li, covering the surface of the earth. Thus, the name "Tiángōng" (Lord of Heaven) is likely derived from this. In modern times, items made of cow tail hair, palm fiber, or black silk coated with lacquer to shield from the sun are also called Lizis, which corresponds to the ancient term ...zi.
[Indications] Neutral in nature. Treats Guizhu Jingmei (a disease attributed to evil spirits or miasma); burn to ash and take with wine (Bencao Jing Bie Lu).
