[Ji Jie (Collected Explanations)] Su Gong states: The method involves combining white tin, silver foil, and mercury to synthesize it. It solidifies hard like silver, and the refining process follows specific techniques.

[Ji Jie (Collected Explanations)] Li Shizhen states: This is produced by alchemists refining various drugs together with Cinnabar (Zhusha). He Ding Xin Shu states: Cinnabar receives the Qi of Qingyang (Spring/East), initially forming ore. After two hundred years, it becomes cinnabar, where Qinvu (associated with Yin/Winter) conceives within it. After three hundred years, it transforms into Lead. After another two hundred years, it becomes Silver. After yet another two hundred years, it regains Taihe Qi (Harmonious Qi) and transforms into Gold. It further states: Jin Gong (Metal/Lead) takes Cinnabar as its offspring; this is Yang within Yin. When Yang dies and Yin coagulates, the supreme treasure is formed.
[Qi Wei (Flavor and Properties)] Cold, non-toxic. Da Ming states: It is incompatible with Tingli Zhi (Stibnite), Magnetitum (Cishi), and Iron. It forbids consumption of all blood products.
[Zhu Zhi (Main Indications)] Promotes longevity and improves complexion, settles the Heart and calms the spirit, stops palpitations, expels evil pathogens, treats Zhong E Gu Du (Sudden Evil and Gu Poison), Heart Heat with irritability, worry-induced forgetfulness, and physical debility (Da Ming).
