[Human Urine]
The qi is cold, the taste is salty, and it is non-toxic. It treats alternating chills and fever, headache, and warm qi disorders. Urine from an intact male child is especially effective.
Human urine possesses a cold qi, inheriting the cold water qi of winter (Tian Dong), entering the Foot-Taiyang Bladder Channel of Hand-Taiyang (Foot-Taiyang Bladder Meridian). Its salty taste and non-toxic nature derive from the water flavor of the North on Earth, entering the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Channel. Both its qi and taste are descending, belonging to Yin. The Foot-Taiyang Bladder Channel originates at the inner canthus of the eye, ascends to the forehead, intersects at the vertex, and runs along the exterior of the body, serving as the external defense. When exposed to the warm qi of dryness and fire from Heaven, invading the cold water channel, it results in alternating chills and fever and headache. Human urine, being salty, cold, and descending, can therefore clear pathogenic dryness and fire. Urine from an intact male contains less turbid qi, hence it is particularly effective.
Prescription:
Combine human urine with Baishao (Paeoniae Radix Alba), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Danpi (Moutan Cortex), Baifu (Poria), Shanzhuyu (Corni Fructus), and Beiweizi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus). Treats persistent hematemesis. Combine with Renshen (Ginseng Radix), Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata), and Rougui (Cinnamomi Cortex). Treats Yang repelled by extreme Yin (Yin Sheng Ge Yang). Combine with Douchi (Sojae Semen Praeparatum). Treats severe headache.
[Placenta/Human Placenta]
The qi is warm, the taste is sweet and salty, and it is non-toxic. It primarily treats emaciation due to Qi and Blood deficiency, consumptive disease in women, darkened facial skin, various internal abdominal diseases, and progressive wasting and debility. Mix with Wuweizi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus) and administer according to proper methods. Do not let the patient know what they are eating.
Human placenta has a warm qi, inheriting the wood qi of spring growth from Heaven, entering the Foot-Jueyin Liver Channel. Its sweet and salty taste and non-toxic nature derive from the water flavor of the Northern earth, entering the Foot-Taiyin Spleen Channel and the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Channel. Its ascending quality exceeds its descending quality, belonging to Yang. The Spleen is the organ that controls blood; the Kidney is the storehouse of Qi; the Liver is the organ of continuous generation and the channel that generates Qi and Blood. Sweet and salty flavors benefit the Spleen and Kidney, while warm qi unblocks Liver Qi; thus, it treats emaciation due to Qi and Blood deficiency. Women rely primarily on Blood. Consumptive injury damages the Five Zang organs, thereby depleting True Yin. Yin deficiency leads to Blood exhaustion, causing Blood to fail to nourish the face, resulting in darkened facial skin. Placenta has a rich taste that benefits Yin, thus treating this condition. The abdomen belongs to Yin; various internal abdominal diseases stem from deficiency in the Yin aspect. Yin governs physical substance, hence the gradual emaciation. Yin deficiency is supplemented using substantial flavors, hence the use of Wuweizi for mixing. The reason for not informing the patient is the fear that they would feel disgusted by its turbid nature upon knowing.
Prescription:
Combine placenta with Renshen (Ginseng Radix), Huangqi (Astragali Radix), Lurong (Cervi Cornu Deglorificatum), Ejiao (Asini Corii Colla), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Buguzhi (Psoraleae Fructus), Wuweizi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus), and Bajitian (Morindae Officinalis Radix). Treats deficiency and damage of True Yang. Combine with Baiguiban (Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum), Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex), Duzhong (Eucommiae Cortex), Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix), Shengdi (Rehmanniae Radix), Sharen (Amomi Fructus Rotundus), Baifu (Poria), Tiandong (Asparagi Radix), Maidong (Ophiopogonis Radix), Renshen (Ginseng Radix), and Wuweizi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus) to form pills. Named Dazao Wan (Great Creation Pill). Treats consumptive disease and bone-steaming fever in both men and women.
