The pedicle of the fruit has a special double pedicle resembling a nipple. This is *Chaenomelis Fructus* (Mu Gua, Papaya). It is found everywhere. The ones from Xuancheng have thin skin, reddish-yellow color, rich fragrance, and a sweet-sour taste. They are moist and not woody, superior to those from other places. Those that are rounder and smaller than *Chaenomelis Fructus*, with a woody and astringent taste, are called *Eriobotryae Fructus* (Mu Tao, Loquat) [Note: In ancient texts, Mu Tao often refers to a specific type of quince-like fruit, distinct from modern loquat, but literally translated here as per context]. Those similar to *Chaenomelis Fructus* but without a protruding tip (nose) are larger than Mu Tao. Those larger than Mu Tao, with a sweet and sour taste...

*Chaenomelis Fructus* (Mu Gua): Sweet and sour in flavor, warm in nature. Its qi is thin, its flavor is strong; descending action exceeds ascending action. It belongs to Yang within Yin. It enters the blood aspect of the Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian and the Hand-Foot Taiyin Lung-Spleen Meridians. It mainly treats Huoluan (Cholera-like syndrome with vomiting and diarrhea), Daqi Ben Tun (Great Qi Rushing Upward/Pancreatic or gastric reflux symptoms), and aids in grain digestion.
