Radix Paeoniae Rubra (Chishao), Adzuki Bean (Chixiaodou), Fructus Aurantii (Zhike) (bran-fried, remove pith).
The above ingredients are ground into fine powder in equal parts. Mix with thick decoction of cypress branch water to apply as a poultice on the swollen area. If it dries, moisten it again with cypress branch water.

Realgar (Ashi) (2 liang, separately ground), Minium (Huandan) (5 qian, ground and fried), Rhizoma Aconiti Kusnezoffii (Caowutou) (5 qian, raw, skin and tip removed, ground into powder), Cinnabar (Zhusha) (1 fen, separately ground, half added to the medicine, half used for coating), Semen Crotonis (Badou) (12 seeds, skin removed, oil retained), Semen Momordicae (Mubiezi) (6 seeds, shell removed, separately ground, used raw).
The aforementioned seven ingredients are ground uniformly. Then melt Yellow Beeswax (Huangla) and Asphaltum (Qingli) two ingredients, filter them, and mix with the previous medicinal powder to form pills the size of a chestnut fruit, coated with Cinnabar (Zhusha).
